Tuesday Writing...3/17/20..."Power, Love And Sound Mind!"

Good Morning,

Today the writing is about what is going on in our country because of the corona-virus that is raging all over the world. People are capitulating to panic and fear. It is causing them to horde food and other items scared to death that they will run out ot something they cannot live without. Sandy wrote, "......remind yourself that God has NOT given you a spirit of fear. He has given you a spirit of POWER, LOVE AND SOUND MIND, and you shall choose to walk in what God has given you!"

You can do that as well so walk in it.

Today's Devotional "Power, Love And Sound Mind!" Written by Sandy Billingham

I did my regular Friday afternoon shopping at our local grocery store and was not prepared for what I encountered that day. Tons of people were scattered throughout every aisle pretty much and seemed to be in a frantic/panic mode. The word FEAR seemed to be entrenched in the atmosphere. The check-out lines were extremely long and an oppressive spirit loomed over the entire store.

As I stood in line waiting for my turn at the check-out counter, I conversed with the lady waiting behind me. I talked to her about trusting God and not man and refusing to bow down to fear. She was polite and agreed with me but clearly did not want to continue the conversation. 

God tells us in His Word...

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
 but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

2 Timothy 1:7

Anytime we are experiencing fear we know that it is not from God but from the enemy, Satan. Fear causes us to be paralyzed, tormented and powerless. When we cave into fear, we becomes victims of fear and unable to walk in our calling. Fear may bring us to a place of making bad decisions and wreak havoc in our relationships. In fact it may wreak havoc not only in our relationships but in every arena of our life. 

Because God Almighty lives within us, His power and His love live within us. We have the power to command the spirit of fear to go and to allow His power, love and sound mind to overtake us. As we apply God's truth in our lives and receive it fully, it is then when we can overcome all fear and walk in complete victory. 

We do not have to be in a panic mode but we have the power and authority to be in an over comer mode, because that is who we are. We are more than overcomers in Christ Jesus. 

The next time the spirit of fear comes knocking at your door you can boldly remind yourself that God has NOT given you a spirit of fear. He has given you a spirit of POWER, LOVE AND SOUND MIND, and you shall choose to walk in what God has given you!
