We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Wednesday Writing...2/12/20..."The Power of Prayer"

Good Morning

Today the writing talks about the importance of prayer to reach out to the Lord  to praise Him and ask for health and other needs. One place this can be done is in a prayer room. Here is a quote from this writing, "Having a prayer room does not need to be a nook or a closet. or a small room. It is anywhere where a person can be alone with God and where she builds her strength and emerges with the power of God which keeps growing."

We need to reach out for the power that God is handing to us whenever we pray.

Pray without ceasing,
Corinne Mustafa

Today's Devotional
"The Power of Prayer"
Written by
Corinne Mustafa

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
.
Philippians 4:6-7

Prayer is a powerful way to reach God whenever we have a need. Our needs are too many to even list. I chose the graphic that I used in the introduction of today's devotional because the shining around the hands symbolizes that when we put two hands together and talk to God there is power.

When we pray we show that we believe that praying can change things. However we must be willing to wait for God's timing and what we pray for must be in keeping with the will of God for us. It is a good thing to pray with others so that we may benefit from the wisdom shared in praying with others. We will be there to come alongside these partners and they can come along side us when needed as well.

Therefore, confess your sins to each other
and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

The important part of praying happens daily in feather prayers of time set aside for private prayer. I have a friend who has a large walk in closet with a small nook in which she prays in the early morning before work. She says that it is a wonderful way to start the day and continue it in His presence. Having a prayer room does not need to be a nook or a closet. or a even a small room. It is anywhere where a person can be alone with God and a place in which  she builds her strength and emerges with the power of God that keeps growing.
