We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday Writing...6/18/19..."Walk Humbly With Your God"

Good Morning,

Today we have a writing that speaks of the fact that God desires us to walk humbly with Him. This is an attribute that takes practice and an attempt to control behaviors that show pride. Sandy wrote, "As we do what is good, do justly, love mercy and above all walk humbly with our God, we shall experience a more richer, intimate life in Christ.........Pride will be a thing of the past and Humility shall win out every time!"

"Walk Humbly With Your God"

I heard it recently said that books on Humility tend to not be high sellers. Is it because the topic just doesn't seem appealing? Could it be that we know the importance of Humility in our life but we don't see it as a priority? Or is it that it is easier to skim over a life of Humility then to delve deep into a true, all out desire of walking Humbly with our God? Personally, I am far from where I want to be in a full lifestyle of Humility in Jesus. Honestly, it is a thousand times easier to be prideful than to be Humble. It is our fleshly nature to live out in Pride.
Let's take a look at what God's Word says about Humility....
"He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you but To do justly,
To love mercy, And to walk humbly
with your God?
Micah 6:8
That particular passage is an all out classic example of who our Jesus is. In fact if we were to walk that passage out faithfully, in God's strength, every day, we could be assured that people would see our Heavenly Father in us.

In a nutshell, humility is basically putting others before us and always being ready to go the extra mile for those in need. Or another way to put it could be thinking of creative ways to be helpful to our fellow man no matter what the cost.

Another beautiful form of Humility would be when we are in the wrong, to very quickly acknowledge our fault and apologize. Recognizing our downfalls and to acknowledge them when we have wronged someone is never an easy thing to do. It takes guts and grace and strength from God to admit when we are in the wrong. Why is it so hard??? Well of course... pride wants to rear it's ugly head and walk away as if nothing happened.  If we choose to be humble, we will make it right with the other person, even if they do not want to accept it.  We must do our part and leave the rest to our God.
My challenge for all of us, (especially myself) would be to live out Micah 6:8 on a daily basis.
As we do what is good, do justly, love mercy and above all walk humbly with our God, we shall experience a more richer, intimate life in Christ. Not only that, but everyone around us will reap the benefit of our lifestlye. Pride will be a thing of the past and Humility shall win out every time!
