Good Morning,
Today I have the privilege of sharing the wisdom that Brian Felker shared with members of our church on our 1st Wednesday prayer night. I thought that you would like to learn about his learning. His wife, Joann, had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer. She was very sick. As time went by Brian arrived at the knowledge of how to pray powerfully and with success for the renewed health of a loved one. Brian wrote, "You are in His Hand, He upholds you with His Strong Arm, and you see the Light of his Face: He loves you! Pray to Him with the power of His Authority."
God does answer powerful prayers.

"Praying with God's Authority"

I
have been right in there with my wife,Joann, yet we each have our solitary part of a
healing along with the ache in our hearts for loved ones.
Two
messages changed my mind and heart. Pastor
Moses (Uganda Pastor) spoke about the nature of God, the provider, the savior. I had
heard those and desperately rely on Jesus as my Savior. I have thanked Him for his provisions, and I, of course, had prayed for healings; yet I prayed
weakly. I diminished that aspect of Him. I don’t think I believed
it for years.
It seemed too random or too demanding of me to want healing
for Joann. When Pastor Moses said God is true to His nature....that He acts
in accord with His nature. AS GOD THE HEALER He wants to act as that in our
lives too. A door of faith opened for me.
I
felt accused. As if with FAITH such as ONLY TRUST IN GOD’S HEALING
POWER it inferred that if I went to the doctor for anything, it was okay, but
it was a second rate faith. It was okay, but you were already taking it
out of God’s hands. That is NOT TRUE We had put ourselves in
God’s hands.
With
Joann, this time God clarified to me what He knows & expects. This is
a battle for Joann’s health. Psalm 44:3 mentions a battle. What goes on
in a battle? Preparing
for battle, we exercise, practice, drill, put on the uniform. Look
the part! When
we go to battle, we bring a sword, our shield or whatever weapon we have. In
battle: swing and attack, defend yourself, listen to our commander,
follow orders.
It
was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor
did their arm bring them victory;
it
was your right hand, your arm,
and
the light of your face, for you loved them.
Psalm 44:3
Psalm 44:3
Let
me make that clearer: they had to go to battle,
they brought their sword,
and they fought valiantly.
So let me paraphrase:
It
was not by their SWORD or MEDICINES that Joann was healed, nor
did their ARM or DOCTORS or their HEALTHY LIFESTYLE bring them victory. It
was the right hand of God, the strong arm of Jesus, and
the light of His face, for He loves us.
I
had a rope, a lifeline to hold onto, a clear path to walk, to pray with
authority against cancer, for health for Joann ALL IN LINE WITH GOD’S
NATURE. It isn’t always comfortable, I question my authority at times, yet
I obey the commander, He has the authority, and He tells me to speak health to
Joann’s body. That is what to do!
You
are in His Hand, He upholds you with His Strong Arm,
and you see the Light of
his Face: He loves you! Pray to
Him with the power of His Authority.
