Good Morning,

Today we discover how we hurt ourselves and insult God when we demean ourselves or think ill of ourselves. In the light of the words in Genesis human beings are the crowning jewel of Creation as God designed them to be. Here is a quote from this writing, "God by nature does not create junk. Everything He creates is top of the line including His humans. He constantly works to insure we will be with Him in eternity, and we must not look at ourselves as junk."

Why don't you go look in the mirror and try to imagine what God sees when He looks at you.

"No Junk"

Before I start my writing please read this passage from the Word.

Gen 1:26b -28
Message Bible

God created human beings; He created them godlike, reflecting God’s nature. He created them male and female. God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, and for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.”

So many times I have heard people undermining themselves with comments like, “I am so stupid. I hate how I look. I cannot behave. I have no friends. I am nasty to others. No one likes me. I hate myself. I'm always XYZ (you fill in the blanks) I screw up everything I do! ” The list goes on and on. I am have been guilty of that myself. However, my friends tell me to stop saying bad things about myself. I am improving even though I had thought that I was only recognizing the truth about me as I saw it.

People hate it when others put themselves down, brush off thank yous, or fish for compliments, because it's just not very likable. If you can catch yourself next time, you'll be doing yourself — and your friends — a favor.

God does not like to hear this kind of thing either. He created us with majestic designs and intentions. In fact He made us higher than the angels some of whom refused to bow before the human beings. God cast these angels out of heaven in disgrace. The fallen angels now roam the world seeking to orchestrate the ruination of God's people.

On top of the favor we have with God,
He has given all the rest of creation to us as owners.

I want to make the point that God by nature does not create junk. Everything He creates is top of the line including His humans. He constantly works to insure we will be with Him in eternity, and we must not look at ourselves as junk.
