Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday Writing...12/18/18..."Press In And Touch His Garment"

Good morning,

Today the devotional is based on the story of the woman with the bloody issue. She had been afflicted for over twelve years receiving no hope from doctors. All she had left was her faith. She believed that is she could just touch the hem of Jesus garment she would be healed, and she was healed. It can happen in our lives as well. Sandy wrote, "God has not changed today. He is still transforming lives and bodies. Press in and touch His garment and watch your story unfold just as the woman with the blood issue for twelve years!" Just give it a try and press in!

Pressing In!

"Press In And Touch His Garment" Written by

We are all familiar with the woman that had the blood issue for twelve years. It is an amazing story on how God met her right where she was at immediately. This woman had struggled with continuous blood flow for so long. I am sure she grew weary. She saw physician after physician and none were able to help her. She  spent all the money she had trying to get the help she needed. She obviously believed in God, for the end result was miraculous. Let's take a look at how her story unfolds.

In the word we find the following...
"Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
When she heard about Jesus,
she came behind Him in the crowd  and touched His garment.  For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes,
I shall be made well."
Mark 5:25-29

Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

This woman was a "woman of faith" and nothing stopped her once she saw Jesus. She did not care what the people around her thought of her. She only cared what Jesus thought of her and how He saw her. She was pressing in hard for her healing!
Once Jesus had discovered it was this particular woman that had touched Him, He had the most wonderful news to share with this precious soul.  And He said to her...

"Daughter, your faith
had made you well.
Go in peace
and be healed
of your affliction."
Mark 5:34

I am sure she was doing the "Happy Dance" when Jesus shared that her faith had made her well. It took guts for this woman as well as action and faith in order for her to get her healing. She was all in for her healing, no matter the cost. God has not changed today. He is still transforming lives and bodies. Press in and touch His garment and watch your story unfold just as the woman with the blood issue for twelve years!
