Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Monday Writing...12/17/18... "We Need Each Other"

Good morning,

The writing for today speaks about the need we all have for help from others when we are challenged by issues or illnesses. Sometimes we just need others to help us through the tough times. Bre wrote, "The church is so beautiful. The church is so important. God designed the church and friendship to be something different than it usually is. Its supposed to be laying your life down for each other, encouraging each other."

Let's all decide to help those in need wherever we find them.

Today's Devotional

 "We Need Each Other"
Written by
Bre Miller

I have recently being going through a weird season of change in my life. Unsure of what to expect or what to do at times. Something I’ve learned through it all is that God gives us other believers to count on.

“They were continually devoting themselves
to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Acts 2:42

“Be hospitable to one another
without complaint.”
 1 Peter 4:9

Here is a part of my story from almost 2 years ago.I was deeply depressed, due to having bipolar disorder and it was so severe that I wasn’t allowed to be alone. I had to make sure a friend was with me or that I went to their house, if my husband was working. I felt like such a burden and would cry about it.

But I truly believe my church friends got joy out of helping me out. Forcing me to do  things, forcing me to talk and eat. One of my friends actually came over, watched a movie with me and let me fall asleep next to her. She then washed my dishes and cleaned my kitchen. Later that night, our Senior Pastor’s wife watched Hallmark movies with me and also made sure I was okay. I was so touched, even through the debilitating depression.

I then met people through the new church we merged with who were going through the same things and who still check in with me to this day. The church is so beautiful. The church is so important. God designed the church and friendship to be something different than it usually is. Its supposed to be laying your life down for each other, encouraging each other.

Lets read more of the epistles and remember to be like the early church.
