Good Morning,
Tomorrow is the date for exercising your privilege to vote...the mid term elections. Our writing today is very current. To vote is one way to affect the issues and people you deem worthy of winning the election. Your vote is not an assurance that everything you support will win. However, if you do not vote you can be sure that you probably will not get your way. Breanna wrote, "Vote for what is right. Vote for what is just... We just need to be careful that we are fulfilling The Great Commission, honoring God and serving others"
Vote for the best. {a least who you believe to be the best} Forget the rest.

"Our Job in
Political Times"
Written by
Breanna Williamson
It’s a very
political time across The US as I am writing this blog post. A lot of people
are angry and arguing with each other over who they want running their state
and city and whether they want new measures introduced or not. Here is my
take on what our job is as believers, when faced with different political
beliefs.
1. Be a Light. Be the kind, happy person. Be the
light in the darkness. Be the person who can disagree and even be passionate,
in a kind, loving way.
“You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;
nor does anyone light a lamp
and put it under a basket,
put on the lampstand,
and it gives
light to all who are in the house.
Let your light shine before men
in such a way that they may see
your good works, and glorify
your Father who is
in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16
.
2. Be Joyful. Joy is being happy even when things don’t go your way. We can have joy because God gives it to us.
“A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”Proverbs 17:22
but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”Proverbs 17:22
3. Pray for our Leaders. The Bible says that God puts leaders
in authority and we are to obey the laws of The Land. If we want our leaders to
succeed, we must pray for them!
“Let every person be subject to governing authorities.
For there is no authority except from God,
and those that exist
have been instituted by God.
Romans 13:1
4. Finally, vote. Vote for what is right. Vote for what is just. Use your voice. politically, not that there is anything wrong with that. We just need to be careful that we are fulfilling The Great Commission, honoring God and serving others.
