I apologize for this posting being so late. The theme is the use of a one minute exercise to hear God sharing His thoughts as to who he knows us to be and what we are. It is powerful to hear and more powerful for us to act upon. Here is a quote from this writing, "It was impressing and uplifting to me since the answer showed how the boy could and would employ his creation gifts, his personality. and attributes to become who he was uniquely equipped to be because of these gifts God has given to him...and also has given to us."
Why not try this exercise to find out what God tells you about yourself.

Have you ever stopped to ask,
“What does God think about me? Who does he say that I am?"
Many of us have taken personality tests and other assessments. We learn that we are a lion, a beaver, an activator, a competitor, a high I, high D. These categories speak of our aptitudes. However, if we want to know who God thinks of us, it is different. If we were to ask Him. we might get an answer that reflects us using those aptitudes that are part of our personality. However, God's answer would shed light on how we have adapted those special gifts that are part of who we are.
You Are Valuable...
We all know what God has given us as He created us. This is what is found in the Bible.
"I breathed into your nostrils the breath of life
(Genesis 2:7).
I created you in my own image
(Genesis 1:27).
My eyes saw your unformed substance
(Psalm 139:16).
I knit you together in your mother’s womb
(Psalm 139:13)
.
I know the number of hairs on your head,
and before a word is on your tongue I know it
(Matthew 10:30; Psalm 139:4).
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
(Psalm 139:14).
You are more valuable than many sparrows
(Matthew 10:31)."
God's plan for us was amazing.
Here is what actually got me started on this line of thinking
based on who we are to God...how we use what we are...
based on who we are to God...how we use what we are...
I was listening to KLOVE while doing some
errands. One of the DJs was speaking praises about this "One Minute
Exercise." This is an exercise that can be practiced in a minute...we all
have much more time than one free minute in our day. It involves spending a minute listening
to God. You can do it in the car, instead of singing in the shower, or while
taking a walk...the possibilities are endless. The DJ talked about being in the
car with her son. He announced that it was time for their one minute break, which
they observed. After the quiet minute with the Lord was over, she asked her son
what he had heard from God. He told her that he had heard in his heart that "he was a mighty
warrior." His mother, the DJ, said that she
saw this in her son.
It was impressing and uplifting to me since the answer showed how the boy could and would employ his creation gifts, his personality. and attributes to become who he was uniquely equipped to be because of these gifts God has given to him...and also given to us.
Why not try this exercise to find out what God tells you about yourself.
