Tuesday Writing...10/16/18..."The Final Blow......."

Good Morning,

The theme today is that when we pray using the words of God it is like having a hammer that slowly chips away at the "rock" about which we are praying. Often we just have to wait. Sandy wrote, "It may  be 20 blows... it may be 50 blows...  it may be 300 blows...  it may be 400  blows of the hammer...  You can be fully assured  that the  final blow shall  come with great Victory.  Your  answer shall come  forth......"

Your victory  is coming; hang in there.

With Great Victory,
Sandy Billingham

Today's Devotional
"The Final Blow......."

Praying God's Word  has got to be the most powerful thing we can do. His  Word  is alive and active and it  does not return void as we speak it. Not only that, but in Jeremiah 23:29 it says it is like fire and like a hammer. The actual passage says...
"Is not My Word like a fire?  says the Lord,
And like a hammer that breaks

the rock in pieces?"

My husband and I have been praying for specific things in our  life  for  years. As we  pray,  we declare God's Word  over the situation.  We know  each time we pray, the hard rock of that issue becomes weaker and weaker as the days go by. In the physical when you are trying  to break up rock in small  pieces, you have  to be  persistent and keep on applying that hammer. You use it with great force over and  over again. Finally that rock begins to crumble and become smaller and smaller until tiny pieces of  rock only exist.  The same applies in the spiritual as the Word of God  is  prayed and  spoken. The verse  also  says His Word is like a fire. Just a few years back, a small community about 30 miles from us had a massive fire that destroyed many, many homes down  to the very foundation.  Hundreds of  trees burned  down  to the root  as  well. The fire consumed everything around it and did extensive damage.

As we apply God's Word  to  our circumstance the  plans of the enemy must be consumed like a  fire and destroyed  by His great power! The enemy has to  bow as  we declare and proclaim His fiery Word! His Word  does  extensive damage in  the midst  of satan and his co-worker's schemes.
We can be  encouraged  as we are faithful to continue  to pray God's  Word over our  requests,  petitions  and supplications. Each application  of  His  Word  brings  another hard  blow, and brings us closer to our answer.

It may  be 20 blows... it may be 50 blows...  it may be 300 blows...  it may be 400  blows of the hammer...  You can be fully assured  that the  final blow shall  come with great Victory.  Your  answer shall come  forth, and it  will be a  time of celebrating His wonderful works. The "final blow" of Jubilee!!!

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do,
do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10: 31

Whatever you do,
work at it with all your heart,

as working for the Lord, not for human
Colossians 3:23

In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16
