We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday Writing...8/14/18... "Have A Heavenly Mindset"

Good Morning,

Today the theme of the writing is that growth comes by being willing to explore beyond your comfort zone. This is an excellent way to learn more about the things of God. New experiences will do that for you. Sandy wrote, "We must be willing to let Him take us out of mindsets we have been stuck in, to bring us to anointed heavenly mindsets directed by the Holy Spirit moving us on from glory to glory!"

Today's Devotional
"Have A Heavenly Mindset" Written by Sandy Billingham

As my husband and I were preparing to ride the segway this past week, we began engaging in a conversation with one of the gals that was in our group who was attending college in Lubbock, Tx.  She was somewhat surprised that we were riding the segway because of our age (we are in our sixties), and even more so when we told her we have ridden it several times. She shared that her mother would never do anything like that due to the fact that she was not open to learning new things. She also informed us that her mother wanted to keep doing only the things she knew to do because that was what she was comfortable with. She mentioned it was because of her mindset she chose to live in that manner.
How many opportunities have we missed because we have chosen to not grow and learn new things when they are set before us. How many wonderful doors could have been open for us, but we have missed them only because we have chosen to remain stuck in the same old mindset and refused to get out of our comfort zone? How many times has our precious Lord set people and ministries before us and we chose not to budge, because it was a new experience for us and something we were not familiar with and people that were a little bit different than us?
As I pondered about mindsets, it led me to these verses in scriptures...
"If then you were raised with Christ,
seek those things which are above,

where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

Set your mind on things above,
not on things on the earth.
For you died, and your life
is hidden with Christ in God."
Colossians 3:1-3

As believers we have been raised with Christ, and we are to seek things with a heavenly mindset. We are not to set our mind on worldly ways but only on those things above. God has called us to daily fill our mind with the things that are of Him. We are to have the mind of Christ.
My goal each and every day is to have the mindset of Christ, being more and more like Him. We must choose to break out of earthly mindsets and allow the Lord to teach us fresh and new things as we seek His face. We must be willing to let Him take us out of mindsets we have been stuck in, to bring us to anointed heavenly mindsets directed by the Holy Spirit moving us on from glory to glory!
