Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Monday Writing...8/13/18..."Powerful Woman Of Faith"

Good Morning,

Today the theme is on being a woman of strength...being ready to do whatever God has planned
for you / her. The job may be difficult or maybe even dangerous. However, if God brings you to it
He will bring you through it. Bre wrote, "We aren’t facing death, but it is still hard. That's why it's important to read about women who stood up for God and their people. These weren’t just stories. These were real events with real people, and now we are the real people on this earth."

Be willing to take on whatever God has given us by who He has created us to be.

Today's Devotional
"Powerful Woman Of Faith" Written by Bre Miller

Esther was a strong woman of God. She was just a regular girl, but she was willing to do the good works that God had prepared for her to do.

She wasn’t a soldier, or a pastor, or a born royal, she was just someone God knew he could use, because she was brave and faithful. I’m going to be drawing from the whole book of Esther today
.
King Xerxes chose another bride to be his queen, because his last queen made him angry by refusing to come to his banquet. The king ended up choosing Esther to be his new queen.
The problem with this was that the king’s right hand man, Haman, hated Jews and wanted to order them to be killed. He actually talked the king into a decree that would make this possible.

Esther had to go to the king and tell him that she herself, was a Jew and that Haman had been plotting to kill them just because he hated them. Czn you imagine how scary this whole situation would be?

You’re just a regular person, and now you’re a queen, without even being asked. Then you have to face the king to save your people. Things turned out well for Esther, as we know, but what if they didn’t? That is what we have to face in this world sometimes...when we know we need to obey God but are afraid to stand up.

We aren’t facing death, but it is still hard. That's why it's important to read about women who stood up for God and their people. These weren’t just stories. These were real events with real people, and now we are the real people on this earth. Some day people may read about us on whatever devices they’ll have. Let’s be the brave ones; let’s be the obedient ones.

Esther prayed and fasted with her handmaidens, and then she stood up against her fear and saved her people. There is a powerful scripture about her in the Book of Esther.

{For if you remain silent at this time,
relief and deliverance for the Jews

will arise from another place,
but you and your father’s family

will perish.}
And who knows but that you
have come to your royal position
for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14
