Saturday Writing...8/4/18..."FAITH WHEN ALONE"

Good Morning,

Today's writing shows the importance of being true to your beliefs about God even if it requires personal sacrifices. A person of faith needs to live according to God's precepts if they have chosen to follow Him. Carol wrote, "If you don't know the Lord Jesus, ask Him to come into your life.  You may become a different person but the change and the blessings will be so immense you'll realize you were really missing out on the life of faith before.  Nothing can compare!"

This is a completely true statement.

"FAITH WHEN ALONE"
Written by
Carol Steficek

"I sat alone because your hand was on me..."
Jeremiah 15:17b

Being a Christian is often not popular.  It is becoming more that way today as we are often looked upon as not being "politically correct."  Standing up for what we believe puts us at odds with the world, it sets us apart.

This has been true throughout the history of the church.  Men and women of faith often found themselves alone -- not like the society around them.  At one time this also included Jewish customs.  Always it was because of a message that called for a different life-style and different commitment.

People often turn the gospel message down because they do not want it to interfere with  their life-style.  They do not want to stop the way they are living or the friends they have.

Some people want to rely on themselves and think they live good lives so they don't need God.

I have been blessed to have God's hand on me since my birth.  My baptism and the working of the Holy Spirit has instilled faith into my life and continued to grow me in God's grace.  It is a blessing to be a person of faith, even if it means I am sometimes alone.

If you don't know the Lord Jesus, ask Him to come into your life.  You may become a different person but the change and the blessings will be so immense you'll realize you were really missing out on the life of faith before.  Nothing can compare!

  1. It also helps when we learn to see beyond the circle that our contemporary
demographic tells us we belong in. Sometimes we find the dearest friends and sisters-in-Christ when we least expect it! (😉 at Corinne)
