We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,

Friday Writing...7/27/18..."Mighty and Tender Lord"

Good Morning,

Today's writing is concerned with the need to share what we know about Jesus...the Good News...with others who have not heard about it. We are benefiting from what we know, and it is good to share the the wonderful life we have received from the news. Salvation of others is a result of receiving knowledge of who Jesus is. Karen wrote, "All of us who know this mighty God, the God who is Love, should be anxious to share the good news of the gospel with everyone we can. We will obey His command when we do, and be a part of enlarging God’s kingdom.

Happy to share the Good News.

Today's Devotional

"He’s Our Mighty and Tender Lord"
by
Karen Bennett

We know well of God’s power and might through His word. We know He is omnipotent - all powerful - and we’re familiar with many things He did that proved it. There was the parting of the Red Sea, the crumbling of the walls of Jericho, the saving of Daniel from the lions, and leaving, unharmed, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, just to name a few. He is a God so powerful, He threw the stars and planets into their orbits. He destroyed great populations who totally refused to believe in Him and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus! He brought down plague after plague on Egypt, because Pharaoh refused to let the children of Israel out of captivity.

One day, the day of judgement, God will fulfill His word and separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep have followed Jesus and will be rewarded with eternal life with Him. The goats, who have sinned against the Holy Spirit by not believing in Christ, will be cast into hell with the evil one.

What a powerful God we love and serve, and that God is also a God of grace and mercy. Anyone who answers the gentle, loving call of Jesus is accepted into the family of God with the love only God can give.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
.

Everyone is invited to live in Jesus and receive blessings beyond all we can possibly imagine.

Obviously, multitudes have rejected Him in the past and multitudes will continue to reject Him in the future. This is the only unforgivable sin, the sin of unbelief, and once we have passed away, there is no longer any way or opportunity to reconcile with God.

He beckons us to come, offers the greatest gifts possible, loves us beyond all our understanding, and wants us with Him for an eternity of uninterrupted bliss.

Always be willing  to share the Good news!
All of us who know this mighty God, the God who is Love, should be anxious to share the good news of the gospel with everyone we can. We will obey His command when we do, and be a part of enlarging God’s kingdom. We will continue to serve a mighty God filled with love for us!

Father - Fill us with the desire to tell everyone about You. Help us to overcome any apprehensions we may have and follow Your command with love and faith filled hearts and minds; bringing us great joy in our service to You!In the powerful and loving
name of Jesus, Amen!

It is a blessing to share the Good News about Jesus
not only to the person you share with
but also to yourself.

  1. "...to overcome any apprehension..." I think that phrase will become a part
of my prayers from now on. For myself and for others. Thank you!
