Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday's Writing...6/25/18..."Equipped"

Good Morning,

Today the writing is about the fact that we are always equipped due to the role God plays in coming alongside and guiding us onto the path He created us to follow. He guides us and teaches us and we become equipped f0r the task. Here is a quote from this writing, "He is a great teacher, and if He is for you who can be against you. So you don't have to fear that you will be a total failure. You may stumble a time or two but the fact is we learn from our stumbles/mistakes. So relish the lesson as God shows you how to be successful for His challenges."

Look around and see what God is asking you to take on. That invitation comes with a promise.

Today's Devotional

"Equipped"

                                  As for me, I call to God
                                and the Lord saves me.
                                      Psalm 55:16
Did you ever come to a point where you want something badly? Perhaps it is something you want to do but fear you will fail. Maybe it is something you believe that God is calling you to do. There have been several times when you had a thought that you felt God was giving you. You become apprehensive because you feel (could it be) that God has  made a mistake. You "know" that you do not have the skills that will enable you to  serve God in the way you would like. You will disappoint Him and that would be a horror.
 As for choosing a person who is hardly  equipped for the task he is given, the Bible is packed with these kind of people. For example, one of them was seen in the story of David and Goliath. Here is what is in play in this kind of episode when God calls someone to follow a path He has for her. He has a plan, He is a great teacher, and if He is for you who can be against you. So you don't have to fear that you will be a total failure. You may stumble a time or two but the fact is we learn from our stumbles/mistakes. So relish the lesson as God shows you how to be successful for His challenges.

Here is another scripture that promises that God is always right beside us protecting us. I learned this psalm when I was three. I learned the King James version which I am pasting here. It is so direct and beautiful.

The 23rd Psalm
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
..Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever.
King James Bible Version
When you feel that there is something you should be doing, take a chance.  Either way you win. If you cannot do the task you will know that it is not for you and you will learn from the challenge. If you succeed you have the thrill of accomplishment and courage to move on to the next project.
One more thing to think about is this. Who might be the one who is working to make you fear succeeding?
