The theme of today's writing is that Jesus is the rock upon Whom we can rely now and forever more. Carol wrote, "Built on the rock, Jesus, we wait for the resurrection in Him and life everlasting. Build your life on the Rock."

The only secure rock upon which to build your life is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the eternal Son of the Father. God's Word in the Bible gives direction to our lives and purpose for our existence. Jesus offers life to all who believe in His sacrifice on the cross for our salvation. Heaven awaits all who trust in Jesus as Savior.
Everything in this life, no matter what it is, will eventually disappear. Each of us will die and leave everything behind, even our bodies in the grave. Built on the rock, Jesus, we wait for the resurrection in Him and life everlasting. Build your life on the Rock.

What gives you security in life? Upon what have you built your life? People will give you many answers to these questions -- their jobs, the money they have invested, their homes, their families.
All of these things are good but certainly nothing you can totally rely upon. People can lose their jobs and not find another one. The stock market goes up and down daily. Homes can be devastated by any one of a number of natural disasters. Thieves can break in and steal. Families can be torn apart by quarrels or divor4ce or by having to more. People die.
