Wednesday Writing..."What a Beautiful Story"...8/16/17

Good morning,

The name of this writing, "What a Beautiful Story" God's plan for salvation for his people which He knew from the time of Creation. It is based on some of the words from the song, "What a Beautiful Name." Here are some of the words from this song...

  • Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You, our Christ
  • You did not want heaven without us
So Jesus, you brought heaven down
  • You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever God you reign
Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name above all names
The author wrote,"As in the scripture the song's importance is found in the facts of God's plan for providing a way for us to become righteous and therefore eligible to enter into heaven. Jesus is the plan that God had all along.

Hope you are as impressed as I am. A great Bible study about God having a plan is "The Story"

God bless
Corinne

"What a Beautiful Story"

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to deatheven death on a cross! Therefore
God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that
is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue
acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

                          Philippians 2: 8-11   (MSG)

Did you ever find yourself reading or singing something, listening to a message or a television commentary, or even taking part in a discussion with someone and missing that person's point? As a result, you pay more attention to a side point and do not even hear or realize what the main point was. This happened to me at our Praise & Prayer get together last week.

One of the songs we sang was "What a Beautiful Name." I have sung this song many times before, but this past week as I sang it I realized that I had missed its important point as I concentrated on the words about His name. The scripture quoted above reflects God's salvation plan that He had since before time began. It is true of the song we sang. I had thought it was about how beautiful Jesus' name is but it was more than that. That is the words of the choruses, but the truly important theme is found in the Verses and in the Bridge.

As in the scripture the song's importance is found in the facts of God's plan for providing a way for us to become righteous and therefore eligible to enter into heaven. Jesus is the plan that God had all along. There was no accidental or sudden move to the plan. It was put into place from the time after man left the garden. It existed in the mind of God who knew what man was going to do through all eternity.

As you sing this song with the video pay attention to the words that show the enactment of God's plan.
