Thursday Writing..."Overcoming Challenges"...8/17/17

Good Morning,

The title of today's writing is, "Overcoming Challenges," and it provides powerful scriptures that teach us how we can overpower temptations to sin. Here is a quote from this writing. "Feed your faith and all the other negative voices will starve to death! Face your obstacles with faith in God and all your dreams and desires of your heart will become reality"...."Today, if you are tempted to give up and give in to defeat, trust God instead. Move forward in faith and be blessed." 

This devotional shows ways for us to approach temptation and succeed to avoid sin.

"Overcoming Challenges"

I can do all things through Chris because He give me strength. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. I can do everything He has called me to do through Christ who strengthens and empowers me to fulfill His purpose. I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.

I am ready for anything, and equal to anything, through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.

 Philippians 4:13

For we walk by faith, not by sight. We live by what we believe, living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises. It’s what we trust in, but don’t yet see, that keeps us going.

The path we walk is charted by faith, not by what we see with our eyes, for through faith we walk, not through sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

Any temptation you face will be nothing new or different. No temptation, regardless of its source, has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience or beyond the course of what others have had to face.

Many others have confronted exactly the same problems that are before you now. And remember, no temptation is irresistible, because God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond your ability to resist. He is compassionate and trustworthy, and will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it. He has promised this and will do what He says.

God will not let you be tempted beyond what you can handle and will now, as He has in the past, provide a way out so you can bear it. He always provides a way of escape so that you will be able to endure it without yielding and you will overcome temptation with joy.

Always remember that God will never let you down and will never let you be pushed past your limit.  He’ll always be there to help you come through it and keep moving forward.

1 Corinthians 10:13

RECIPE FOR OVERCOMING CHALLENGES.

Sometimes there are no logical solutions to life’s challenges, but faith.

Fear says your situation is permanent. Logic says it's impossible. Reasoning says it doesn't make sense. Science says follow logic and consider the facts. Math says it doesn’t add up. Time says it’s too late. Age says you’re too young or too old. Education says you’re not qualified. Experience says you’re a novice. People say it’s never been done before. The past says check your history. Scars say you’re about to get hurt again. Comfort says, it is really not worth the trouble? The future says you don’t belong here. The pocket says I can’t afford it.

But faith says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil 4:13). Don't seek logical solutions to every life’s challenges. Sometimes you just have to believe. "We walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Cor 5:7).

Feed your faith and all the other negative voices will starve to death! Face your obstacles with faith in God and all your dreams and desires of your heart will become reality.  

Remember we are partners with Jesus in this journey of life.  (1 Cor 10:13) God is faithful and is with us every step, making certain we do not face more than we can bear and that the challenges are not beyond our capabilities.

Today, if you are tempted to give up and give in to defeat, trust God instead. Move forward in faith and be blessed.
