We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Thursday Writing..."HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST"...8/3/17

Good morning,

Brother Thomas and Jody Ward are the authors of today writing which is titled "HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST."  It is how Jesus made Himself humble and did not consider Himself as God although He did. He became as a servant to people and did not claim any perks for Himself or show off His powers. Here is a quote from their writing, "Without renouncing or diminishing His deity, He temporarily gave up the outward expression of divine equality by being made in the likeness of men. He became completely human, but was without sin, being fully God and fully man."

We would do well to take a lesson from the behavior of Jesus being as a servant to others and humble of behavior.

God bless,
Brother Thomas, Jody, and Corinne

"HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST"

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, that is to have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Jesus. Look to Him as your example of selfless humility. In your lives think the same way Jesus thought and act the same way He acted.

In other words, adopt the mind-set of Jesus and live with His attitude in your hearts. Think of yourselves the way Christ thought of Himself. Remember, Christ was truly God, being equal to God and having the same status with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes, the entire nature of deity
.

But Jesus didn’t hang on to His equality with God, or grasp at it. It was not something He clutched at as if He did not already possess it or was afraid of losing it. While being in the form of God, He did not think that being equal to God was something to be held on to. Even when He had equal status with God, He didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what.

Instead,  Jesus emptied Himself by assuming the form of a bond-servant, made in the likeness of men. Without renouncing or diminishing His deity, He temporarily gave up the wtward expression of divine equality by being made in the likness of men. He became completely human, but was without sin, being fully God and fully man.

Though He was in the form of God, He laid aside His might power and glory and made himself nothing. He was born as a man and became like a servant. He gave up everything and became like us.

Philippians 2.5-7

If we have the mind of Christ, it will be easy to forgive people who offend us. Having the attitude of Christ enables us to love those who hate us. Taking Jesus as our example gives us the ability to care for the needy. Only with the mind of Christ can we forget the wrongs done to us and love those who have hurt us.

May the Lord fill us with His Spirit and equip us with His word to be the light to this dark generation. May we take on the mind of Christ in the purest sense and be ready to serve a lost world.
And always remember that you attitude determines your altitude.

May the mind of Christ my Savior
Live in me from day to day
By His love and power
controlling
All I do and say.
