We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing..."Be Compassionate!"...8/4/17

Good morning,

Karen Bennett is the author of today's writing which is titled,"Be Compassionate!"  Her theme is about the compassion that Jesus practiced and how we can follow His example and show compassion to others. Karen wrote, "Words can be plentiful, but actions are the proof. When we do our good deeds through our faith in God, the Holy Spirit can use them to cultivate the heart, mind, and soul of the person on the receiving side of that deed." The idea of compassion is something we should always keep in mind when we are aware of others who are suffering. That would be a wonderful opportunity to compassionate.

God bless,
Karen and Corinne

"Be Compassionate!"

"Jesus not only saved my life...
He made it worth living."
Unknown

Our lives in Christ are definitely worth living, because we live them for Him. We live to follow His will, giving us the ultimate in blessings, comfort, hope, and joy this side of heaven. His word sustains us in all we do. He provides for all our needs and we are led through this life with joy.

One of our greatest blessings is to be able to show compassion for others as our Lord did and we realize how He felt about all those who needed a Savior. He was surrounded by people who were in great need of someone to comfort them and heal them. He met their needs and in doing so, He instilled in those of us who love Him, compassion for the needy as well.

When we become compassionate people, we realize the need for Jesus in the people around us. They need His love just as we do, and we are able to share it with them. We find ourselves wanting to do all we can to help these people. Maybe it's doing a food drive or an event to raise money for someone in need of medical assistance. Or maybe it's helping with a much needed home repair they can't afford. There are any number of needs among people and by fulfilling those needs, we show the love of Jesus.

What you do doesn't even have to be more than a simple act of kindness. Yes, there are many large problems we can help others to handle, but even that simple one shows people you care and makes it obvious you live your faith. Words can be plentiful, but actions are the proof. When we do our good deeds through our faith in God, the Holy Spirit can use them to cultivate the heart, mind, and soul of the person on the receiving side of that deed.

"When He saw the multitudes,
He was moved with compassion for them,
because they were weary and scattered,
 like sheep having no shepherd."
Matthew 9:36

 9:36.

Just as Jesus helped all those He could, so should we. We can be sensitive to the needs of those around us and help them fulfill those needs. We don't simply want to be nice. We want to give them a healthy dose of compassion.

We must also remember that needs are not only material ones. Emotional and spiritual needs are great and sharing the love of Christ with those who are lost could have wonderful eternal results. Jesus is the answer to everything, great or small. Be ready at all times to share the word. Help steer them to the shepherd - our Shepherd. Let His love and light shine through you, today and always.

   Be compassionate!

Dear Father,

Help us to see the needs of those around us and to be a help whenever and wherever we can. Most of all, may we share Your love with them to bring them peace, comfort, and a joy unknown to them before. Let Your compassion for them fill us also and help us to satisfy their needs, be they spiritual, emotional, or material. In Your precious name we pray!
Amen.
