Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Monday Writing..."ALWAYS AWAKE"......7/10/17

Good morning,

The Monday writing is by Lisabeth Lipp, who woke up in the wee hours because of leg pain and due to some things she was worried about. She went downstairs and prayed and journaled. Then something happened to distract her and give her a new understanding of what God does. Lisabeth wrote, "God used this situation to enlighten me with the fact that He knows what is up ahead before we do."

I am sure you will enjoy reading about what happened that gave her the thought above.

God bless,
Lisabeth and Corinne

"ALWAYS AWAKE"

One morning I got up before dawn because I could no longer sleep. I had an achy leg that was bothering me, and keeping me from being comfortable. There also were some things on my mind that were bothering me as well. I was concerned about things that may or may not happen in the not too distant future.

As I often do in such situations, I came downstairs to pray about the thing that was troubling me. I was just finishing prayer journaling, when I heard a commotion by the cat tree. I though the cat was having trouble reaching one of his toys and was about to help him when the mouse he was grabbing at moved. It was not a toy.

I ran upstairs to tell my husband about it-hoping he would de-mouse the house, but it was a bit too early for that. I returned downstairs to review some Bible cards, convinced the mouse was at least hidden by the cat tree.

Then I heard commotion and some squeaking in another room. I found the cat - the cat that usually hid himself  and was not especially receptive to us unless he wanted his food - with the mouse in his mouth. He took care of the mouse as a cat will do. I was both freaked out and fascinated by the situation, so I did the only logical thing; I grabbed my cell phone and took pictures of the encounter.

Still, I wished that someone in the house had appeared on the stairs to help me deal with this and to share my chagrin. However, there was a take-away in this experience although it was a small experience in the realm of possible challenges I might have had to face. God used this situation to enlighten me with the fact that He knows what is up ahead before we do. He already has a plan to take care of the trouble, even if it is an overweight black cat. Before we are aware of what is up, He is already on the job, taking care of the trouble. He is watching over things even while we snooze.

“He who watches over you will never sleep;”
Psalm 121:3b

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:3
