Tuesday Writing..."Fight The Good Fight!"........7/11/17

Good morning,

Today's writing by Sandy Billingham addresses the topic of fighting the good fight of faith. As believers we have to have faith. Sandy wrote, "It (faith) is a very important and vital piece of the puzzle in our Christian walk. In fact, God's Word  says that it is impossible to please God without it!  And, of  course it never comes without a fight!'

"Fight The Good Fight!"

How many times have you heard someone make the statement "You gotta have faith." I know personally, I have heard it multiple times. And in the Christian circle it is expected and vital to walk in that. But the bottom line is...that we as believers "gotta have faith!" It is a very important and vital piece of the puzzle in our Christian walk. In fact, God's Word  says that it is impossible to please God without it!  And, of  course it never comes without a fight!

The Word tells us...  

"Fight the  good fight of faith; 

take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, 

and you made the good confession  in the presence of many witnesses."

1Timothy 6:12,

Whatever you may be believing for, it will not come without a price. We must believe God will do exactly what He tells us in His Word  He  will do. As we lay hold of  His Word, getting it ingrained  in our mind and heart, we must stand firm on what we are believing for. We must cast down any unbelief or doubt and keep our eyes on God, our Mighty Fortress!

He tells us to "Fight the  good  fight of faith," so we shall do that with great boldness and strength in Him!  We may not see any change  right away, but we stay fixed on Jesus and continue to declare Victory in the situation. Not only that, but continuously and vigorously until we see the hand of God move.

As we fight in the Lord, the passage also says to lay hold of the eternal life that He has called us to. We can be confident of eternity with our God, and doing so in the presence of many witnesses.

Fight and keep on fighting the good fight, knowing in the end, our God shall do great things!
