Good Morning,
Today's devotional, "Singing To The Lord!" has many useful tips, provided by Karen
Bennett, about ways to use music and song to enhance praise into our prayer time. She wrote. "Many of the praise songs of today lift our spirits and establish a beautiful connection with God as we sing, drawing us close to Him. They recharge us, so to speak, filling us with confidence and anticipation. The lyrics are great encouragement and the music is energizing."
You could add this element to your prayer time to lift up your heart and be touched with the presence of the Lord.
God bless
Karen and Corinne

"Singing To The Lord!"
Sing to the Lord, praise His name,
proclaim His salvation day after day.
Psalm 96:2.
Have you ever sung your daily devotion? Have you played praise music, singing along for a wonderful time of Worship? Have you ever watched Southern Gospel singers on television and been caught up in the music with its honoring God?
The Bible is permeated with verses telling us to sing, to shout, to clap our hands, and to dance. Is there anything you know of or can even imagine celebrating with such joy than the love of our Lord? Who else can comfort you as He does? Who else can strengthen you as He does? Who else can forgive every one of your sins or can love you as He does? And who else can promise and give you eternal paradise with Him for believing as He does?
King David wrote many of the Psalms that were sung in the Jewish temple, and he commanded music and singing to be present during worship. David made music with the harp and the lyre, music he sang in praise to the Lord. Some he wrote when he was dismayed and disappointed, but before the Psalm ended, he was looking to the Lord once again with complete faith and confidence in having the Lord answer his prayer and provide for him.
It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 92:1.

Southern Gospel music is a hand clapper at times. Most of these songs are filled with happiness, keeping us going when times prove difficult. Where could we go, but to the Lord? Sing of God's mighty works!
We can and do pray the Psalms, old hymns, Southern Gospel music, and Praise songs, as well as others, because they are just that - prayers set to music.
Take some time and leaf through old hymnals and songbooks, read and pray the lyrics. Better yet, sing them if you know the melodies! You needn't even worry if you think your voice doesn't sound too good, because you sound beautiful to the Lord!
shout aloud, O earth beneath.
Burst into song, you mountains,
Burst into song, you mountains,
you forests, and all your trees,
for the Lord has redeemed Jacob,
for the Lord has redeemed Jacob,
He displays His glory in Israel.
Isaiah 44:22.
One day we will hear the heavenly host singing praises and probably even be joining in, singing of God's love, His deeds, His triumph, and our joy!
Dear Father, May we sing praises to Your holy name with jubilant hearts. Let the words rise up to greet You and may they be pleasing to Your ears. Let our musical worship be a wonderful time of drawing ever closer to You and may we be prompted to do it often. In Your name we pray. Amen.
Prayers are lifted up daily for you
