Good morning,
The writing today is about how God has our backs. Brother Thomas and Jody point out that we need to give praise and thanks to God for all he does. They also point out that sometimes what is prayed for may take a long time to come or may not come at all. That requires trust. Here is a quote from the writing, "In our journey of faith, we will have disappointments, be overshadowed in the valley of life and meet situations that we never thought would ever happen. We may even be betrayed by people we trusted with our lives. When these happen we can get angry, complain, and get frustrated. But if God will open our eyes to see what that glitch in our journey has saved us from, we will dance in praise and thanksgiving all the days of our lives."
We must rely on the fact that God operates with information that we are not privvy to. Trust Him!
God bless,
Brother Thomas, Jody, and Corinne

"GOD'S UNEXPECTED GIFTS"
Bless the Lord, O my soul. Bless and affectionately praise Him. Soul of mine, come, praise Jehovah. Sing a song from a grateful heart.
Never forget to gratefully recognize the blessings and benefits He has bestowed. Remember all the glorious things He does.
He forgives all our sins. Despite all your many offenses, He forgives everyone. He heals all our diseases more than any doctor. He redeems you from hell. He reaches into the pit and delivers you from death. He lavishly crowns you with unfailing love, compassion and tender mercy.
When your soul is famished and withering, He fills you with good and beautiful things, satisfying you as long as you live. He satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the soaring eagle.
Psalm 103.2-5
Just reflecting on the things God has done for us and our families, the things that no other person would have been able to do for us, will stir our heart to praise & thanksgiving.
Sometimes things may not have gone the way we planned it, but we cannot learn to truly praise God and dance in thanksgiving unless we realize that it takes positive and negative to produce light. In our journey of faith, we will have disappointments, be overshadowed in the valley of life and meet situations that we never thought would ever happen. We may even be betrayed by people we trusted with our lives.
When these happen we can get angry, complain, and get frustrated. But if God will open our eyes to see what that glitch in our journey has saved us from, we will dance in praise and thanksgiving all the days of our lives.
Remember He said, “My ways are not your ways.” Learn to thank God in good times and in bad times, for He says "in all things give Him thanks". We may not understand it. We may not be able to explain why. But we must understand that His wisdom is deeper than what any human being could ever imagine.
My simple conclusion; We have a reason to trust Him with our praise and our thanksgiving, in good times or bad, because He has given His Angels charge concerning us to keep us lest we dash our foot against a stone.
When we feel alone or lonely, that is when He is nearest for He said, "I will not leave you nor forsake you." What a wonderful God we serve! Heaven and earth adore Him, Angels bow before Him. The wind and sea clap their hands before Him. At the breath of His nostrils, the thunder roars. His strength is enough for us.
Rest in Him, for the storm will be over soon and a joyful day is ahead.
