Saturday Writing..."SPIRIT OF LIFE"......7/15/17

Good Morning,

Today's writing by Carol Steficek is on the theme of God's gift of forgiveness to those who believe in and choose Jesus as the Son of God. God gives us freedom from condemnation not because of who we are but because of Who He is. In addition He sends His Holy Spirit to dwell in us and to power us to live a new life in Christ. Carol wrote, "I'm in the process of growing and becoming just like Jesus and looking forward to the day when this will be complete in heaven.  Yes, the law of the Spirit of life has set me free to live a life unencumbered by condemnation.  I'm free indeed!"

"SPIRIT OF LIFE"

               "Therefore, there is now 

no condemnation

 for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus 

the law of the Spirit of life 

set me free."

Romans I:1,2

   

  I'm glad that God doesn't operate like I do.  Forgiving myself for some of the things I've done in life is difficult.  Satan keeps jogging my memory about things past.  God not only forgives everything we repent of, He also remembers our sins no more.

     I'm glad that God doesn't expect me to keep the Ten Commandments perfectly.  Every day I start out on a good note and then end up doing the very things I don't want to.  Sin does reside in this mortal body.  Jesus kept the laws of God perfectly for me.  When the Father looks at me now He sees only the righteousness of Christ covering me.  Jesus' blood erased all my sins.

     

 

   

     The Holy Spirit who dwells within me gives me the power to live a new life in Christ.  I'm in the process of growing and becoming just like Jesus and looking forward to the day when this will be complete in heaven.

     Yes, the law of the Spirit of life has set me free to live a life unencumbered by condemnation.  I'm free indeed!
