Good morning...
Today I am going out to lunch with two friends...that will be fun. I also have to study for a written driving test...that will not be fun. However, I will survive!
The devotional for Thursday is co written by Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward. The title is "Lonely Journey No More." Here is a quote of what was written: "So why are afraid, worried, frustrated or discouraged? There is no need for these things. Your God is working behind the scene for you and He will bring it to pass, soon."

Today's Devotional
"Lonely Journey No More"
written by
For Zion’s sake, I cannot keep silent
until her righteousness shines like the sun.
Because I love her, and my heart yearns
for Jerusalem, I will not cease to pray for her until her vindication radiates
brightness.
I will not stop crying out to God on the
Holy City’s behalf and I cannot rest until her salvation burns like a blazing
torch in the night and her deliverance rises like the dawn. I will not be
silent until she is safe and secure. It says, " The Lord is not afraid to let us go through hills and valleys, for it is in those situations that He will make Himself known as we experience His presence, power and love. "
Brother Thomas Ukwute
Isaiah 62.1
Many times, in our journey of faith, we feel so
lonely. It feels as if God is not near us or around us. Sometimes, we get so discouraged
that some of the things we expected are not coming through. Other times, we get
frustrated that we took ten steps forward and then slid four steps back. Then,
while mourning for the four lost steps, we forget we are six steps ahead of
where we used to be.
When we see, or hear, that someone slipped and
fell, do not put them down or make fun of them. Keep in mind, underneath each
person is the hand of the master crafter who will remove all the rough edges and
bring them up in perfection. This is because of who He is and what He can
accomplish, even in dark hours and tough times.
The Lord is not afraid to let us go through hills
and valleys, for it is in those situations that He will make Himself known as
we experience His presence, power and love. The enemy may fight, the road may
be lonely and rough, the night may be dark, but one thing is for certain. He
will not rest until He brings to pass His purposes for your life.
So why are afraid, worried, frustrated or
discouraged? There is no need for these things. Your God is working behind the
scene for you and He will bring it to pass, soon.

Humorous Innocence From the Mouths of Babes
A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments. They were ready to discuss the last one. The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was. Susie raised her hand, stood
tall, and quoted, "Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbor's wife."

A Sunday school teacher asked her children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?" One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."

My friend's four-year old began Sunday School recently. When his teacher asked him if he wanted to pray for anyone, he thought for a moment and said, "Pray for Forrest Gump, he got shot in the buttocks."
