We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

                                                                 Good Morning Readers

Seems like the week just started and here we are at Wednesday...."Hump Day."

Get on your camel and ride. Before you know it the weekend will have started.

                                     ___________________________________________

Throughout the day...........
.......our thoughts often turn to things that are going on in the world.  In this world today there is so much to bemoan and worry about. To the list I might add some of the current topics of the day…

  1. Politics of people in office
  2. Politics of people who aspire
to be in office after the elections.

SOOOO…
Give thanks to God
for being in control.
and
RELAX
{He has it handled!}

 "Do Not Hasten In Anger"
   Written by
   Sandy Billingham
This past Saturday my husband and I had a big day planned so we were making every minute count to our advantage!
I had my daily run that morning and off to the grocery store before the Saturday morning crowd hits! I pulled into the parking lot and staked out my parking place. As I got ready to gently pull into my slot, before my eyes a car darted quickly in front of me, driving straight across and bee-lining for his spot directly on the other side of me.
I will have to be honest, for my initial reaction was not extremely joyful! Instead, in the midst of my reaction, I shook my head strongly and waved my arms in a manner that he could not miss that it angered me!
We both got out of our cars at the same time and I was ready to meet the challenge before me!! Thinking it possibly could be some young whipper-snapper, when our paths finally met, I was really surprised! The person standing before me looked quite similar to Clarence, who was the angel that finally got his wings in the movie "It's A Wonderful Life." It floored me somewhat, and softened my heart a bit to the point of my anger level decreasing. But I did lecture him on how dangerous it was, and that it was something we taught our kids not to ever do in parking lots! I must add, I said it with a little chuckle and blessed him in the moment, and I quickly released that anger at the feet of Jesus.
God's Word clearly states...

"Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry,
For anger rests in the bosom of fools."
 Ecclesiastes 7:9

Anger creates much havoc and strife. If not dealt with properly we can carry anger in our hearts allowing it to rest in our bosoms, walking as a fool.
I later saw "Clarence" in the grocery store and approached him (with a smile) asking if he had any special prayer request. His response was "No, for after talking to you everything was good!" We parted with a quick hug, more chuckles and at peace with one another.
I am so thankful that I forgave and dumped the anger at Jesus' feet. Anger was for a moment, but I quickly took care of my heart, not allowing that anger to rest in my bosom and create further problems.
So thankful for a God that forgives us and helps us to not hasten in our spirit to be angry. And thankful that He teaches us be wise and not foolish on how we handle anger.
I am still learning how to "walk the walk" and gleaned from this past experience.

My prayer is "Lord, bring me more people like Clarence, that I may mature even more and walk in your unfailing love towards
others
that would anger me."

I can be assured in the midst, You will guide me and give me all I need to over come whatever comes my way!
In His Forgiveness,
Sandy Billingham

  1. Thank you for sharing this wonderful lesson. How turning your anger over to God allowed your to go from giving someone a "piece of your mind" into receiving His "Peace of mind and spirit"!
