"He Will Take Great Delight in You"
Written by
Brother Thomas Ukwute
and Jody Ward
For
then it will be that the Lord has reversed his judgments against you and taken
away your punishment. He has turned back your enemies, cleared them away and
sent them chasing their own tails.
The
Lord, the King of Israel, is with you, in the midst of your life. And after He
comes to you, you will not suffer from fear or experience evil any more. Never
again will you see the terror and dread of harm and disaster over your life.
On
that day, they will say to the Lord’s chosen in the Holy City, do not despair
and do not be afraid, dear Zion. Do not let fear paralyze you so that you lose
your strength and your hands become listless and fall limp.
The
Lord your God is present, right with you, a strong and victorious warrior. He
is the Mighty One, a Savior who is there to save you.
He
will take great delight in you, He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest
in silent satisfaction and in His love, He will no longer rebuke you or make
mention of past sins. He will calm you with His love and rejoice over you with
singing and even shouts of joy.
“Then
just watch,” says the Lord. “I will deal with all those who oppress you and
afflict you. I will get rid of them for you and then the accumulated sorrows
and misery of your exile will dissipate like a fog.
I
will rescue the wounded who limp and are lame. I will save the maimed who can
not stand straight and walk. I will gather the exiles, the outcasts and the
homeless. I will make sure they get fame and honor in the lands that put them
to shame and I will turn their shame into praise and renown in all the earth.
At
that time, I will gather you and bring you home. I will give you honor and
praise among the peoples of the earth. I will make your name a praise among the
nations and reverse your captivity, right before your very eyes. I will bring
restoration, and it will be a reunion where the painful separations of
captivity are wiped out,” says the Lord.
Zephaniah
3:15-17, 19-20
You may have seen and heard things
that had made you question the validity of your faith. You may have gone
through experiences that had deeply challenged your faith to the point of
almost doubting if God is still with you. You may have encountered one failure
and disappointment after another, making you want to give up on God.
Hear this and be encouraged. You
will sing and rejoice again in the Lord your God. The God of heaven will chase
out your enemy and you will see evil no more for your God is mighty, He will
save and rejoice over you again with unspeakable blessings and victory.
He will undo your affliction and
remove your shame. He will make you a name and a praise among the people
because He who designed your destiny will turn back your captivity before your
eyes and bring to pass His purposes for your life.
Be strong in the Lord, trust in Him;
for it will soon be accomplished, and it will be victory in your favor.

Inspirational Story
Kindness of Greg Kloehn
Photo:Jenise Kearney
Greg is a building contractor located in an industrial area of Oakland, California, where many homeless people sleep on the streets in cardboard boxes or under tarps.
Those streets can be cold and dangerous, and as Greg got to know his homeless neighbors, he decided to do something to help them.
Greg started the "Homeless Homes Project" and began designing and building little-homes, using mostly materials others had illegally dumped on the streets.
"Homeless Homes" began when a homeless woman, Sheila, came to Greg on a rainy night and asked if he could spare a tarp for her.
He said, he could not, but as she walked back out into the rain, he called to her and said if she would come back tomorrow, he would have a home for her.
Sheila and her husband Oscar came back the next day, and sure enough, Greg had built a tiny home for them.
This was the first of 35 homes for the homeless Greg has built, and the number is growing. These homes, including a front door and lock, keep homeless people safe and provide a place to store their possessions, while they stay warm and dry when the weather is cold and rainy.

Whatever cause you believe in, take action

What an inspiring message and scripture...and what a blessing Greg is to those who are struggling..those little homes are like a palace to them..we take so much for granted....
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. Those houses remind me of Tiny Houses on HGTV. I guess these houses could be called "Tiny Tiny Houses"...LOL. I am glad you liked the writings yesterday.
