Good Morning,
Stand fast in liberty. Don’t be entangled, hampered and ensnared by putting the old harness of bondage back on, which you have put off through freedom in Christ. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law.
Today's writing by Brother Thomas and Jody Ward gives a good advice of what one should do to gain the closeness and a right way to what Jesus has done for us. The title of the writing is, "Consistency is the Key." We all understand that Jesus has set us free through His blood, but sometimes we are lured down the path of being in despair about how secure it is. We doubt ourselves because we let ourselves be moved from that knowledge when we fall into feelings of bondage. Here is a quote from this writing, "Keeping our hearts and thoughts on the freedom Christ brings will grant us the grace to keep His banner flying steady in a drifting world."
To sum it up REGULARITY IS THE KEY.
God bless,
Brother Thomas, Jody, and Corinne

Today's Devotional
"Consistency is the Key"
"Consistency is the Key"
Christ has set us free! And Jesus set us free for true freedom, to live a free life. In His freedom we have been completely liberated, not spending one more day under the yoke of slavery, trapped under rules and legalisms.
Now make sure that you stay free. Stand strong. Stand firm for your freedom. Don’t get tied up again in trying to follow the laws of God on your own and don’t put on the former crippling yoke of slavery again.
Stand fast in liberty. Don’t be entangled, hampered and ensnared by putting the old harness of bondage back on, which you have put off through freedom in Christ. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law.
So, stand strong, as free people.
Galatians 5.1
Consistency in faith is the key to spiritual progress.
Consistency in faith requires a firm determination to walk in the Spirit, and with God, on a daily basis. It demands a dedication that sees the flesh crucified, a denial of earthly, carnal desires. Consistency in faith is a commitment to put God first in everything we say and do. We must remain steadfast in our devotion to our faith to experience the liberty of Christ.
We can only maintain our freedom in Christ when we relentlessly commit ourselves to the values and the identity of our Lord and Savior, and declare our position in Him wherever we find ourselves.
Keeping our hearts and thoughts on the freedom Christ brings will grant us the grace to keep His banner flying steady in a drifting world.
