The writing today is centered on the topic of family values and their importance to God and His people. Here is a quote from this writing, "The most important value that families can exhibit is a belief in God teaching them about His love and provision for the people He has created."

"Family Values"

We live in a country that has a huge variety of "Family Value" systems. This is due to the fact that the USA is a melting pot. People have moved to our country from all over the world. They come from every continent and bring with them the values of their places of origin and of the families from which they came. This presents a challenge of adaptation between neighbors, school teachers and students, and members of churches. In my opinion exact family values should not be a cause for quarrel between groups; the factor is that there SHOULD be values. Then the work will be to respect the values (and even appreciate) those of various groups.

Some synonyms for values are standards, ethics, morals, ideals, principles, and beliefs. All of these have a part in defining family values. It is important for a family to set up their values according to their ideals. It is also important for the adult family members to train their children about the values of their family. That framework is the most important gift  that can be given to children.

The most important value that families can exhibit is a belief in God teaching them about His love and provision for the people He has created. These two verses from the O.T. and the N.T. show the role of God in our lives.

Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever.

Psalm 136:26
