Friday Writing...5/8/20..."The Kind of Man"

Good Morning,

The apostles on their boat were afraid during the storm. They feared that the boat would sink and they would drown. Jesus woke up and calmed the storm. They wondered about the kind of man He was. It seems like a strange question after all the miracles they had seen. They found out and the world found out as well the kind of man He was. Here is a quote from this writing, "There is nothing too hard for Him. Call on Him, put your trust in Him, and He will not disappoint you."

Time to curtail attempts of relying on ourselves, and begin to place our total trust in Jesus without question.

Be blessed during these challenging times,
Brother Thomas Ukwute & Jody Ward

While He and the disciples were sailing across the lake, Jesus went to lie down and fell deeply asleep. While He was sleeping, a fierce storm descended on the lake and a strong wind began to rise, sweeping waves over them. Water poured in and the boat began to fill, nearly swamping them. They were in great danger.

The disciples rushed over and woke Jesus, shouting, “Master, Master, we are sinking and are going to perish. We are drowning and going to die!”

Jesus got up and gave a command to the wind and the waves, rebuking and reprimanding the chaos of the storm. “Silence!” He told the wind. “Quiet down!” He told the waves, and they did it. The violent wind stopped and the raging waves ceased. The storm stopped and all was calm.

Then Jesus turned to His disciples.  “Where is your faith? Why can’t you trust Me?” He asked. “Where is your confidence in Me?”

His followers were afraid and astonished, terrified and amazed at the same time. In awe, they staggered and stammered, “Who is this, that when He gives a command, even the wind and the waves obey Him?” They kept asking one another, “What kind of man is this that even the storm and the sea listens does what He tells them?”

Luke 8.23-25

When things don't go the way you expected, who do you call upon for help?

Remember, He has the whole world, and your whole world, in His hands. No matter what situation you encounter, He has the answer if you call upon Him.

Call upon Him in your day of trouble and He will answer you, He will show you great and mighty things you have not known before and cannot imagine. He is a trusted friend who cannot abandon you in the midst of storms.

The disciples asked, “What manner of man is this Jesus?”

I will tell you what I know of Him. He heals sickness, calms storms, gives victories, forgives sins, restores broken lives, fills the broken hearted with peace and hope, rebuilds destinies, puts smiles on faces, gives sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. That is what manner of man Jesus is.

There is nothing too hard for Him. Call on Him, put your trust in Him, and He will not disappoint you.
