Good Morning,

The writing today speaks about LOVE...the love that God has for His people which we know as Agape Love. This is a love that is given without reserve or thoughts of self. Jesus gave Agape love when He died so that we could receive eternal salvation. Carol wrote, "Agape love means spending your love without holding back on someone other then yourself."

It would be praiseworthy for a person to get as close to Agape Love as possible in any loving relationship.

"LOVE"

"A new command I give you: Love one another.

As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

John 13:34

Jesus used the term love as the Greek word "agape" or sacrificial love as used in the New Testament by Paul. This is not the same love with which a person loves God or their spouse or best friend.

Agape love means putting the other person first and yourself second. Agape love means really caring for and about your neighbor. Agape love means contributing to charitable causes with both money and resources. It means contributing to missions which the church supports. It means going out of your way to help your neighbor with your time and resources. Agape love means spending yourself on someone besides yourself.

Jesus spent everything He had on us. He loved each of us enough to give us everything in this life as well as the promise of eternal life for all who believe in Him.
