Tuesday Writing...11/26/19... "Mega Family Of God"

Good Morning,

The writing today compares  the Body of Christ to large families that take care of each other and support each other. Sandy wrote, "We want the very best for one another and we will reach out to build and edify others and pray on a daily basis. We look forward to  spending eternity together as one Mega Family of God!"

It is a wonderful family to which we belong...the Mega Family of God.

 "Mega Family Of God"

This past weekend I bought the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" at a garage sale. That was the extent of the entertainment for my husband and I. Some of you may have seen it. Toula who is Greek and 30, is unmarried which means as a nice Greek girl she is a failure. Later on though she meets the man of her dreams, who is not Greek which sets them both up for adventure and complications. Toula and others finally talk Toula's father into accepting her soon to be husband. The stipulation, though is that it must be a full blown Greek wedding.

Grant  it, Toula's family are obnoxious, boisterous, and overbearing along with many other hang ups. The best thing about Toula's family, though, is that they want the best for her and they are willing to support her. They are in it for the long haul.  The bonus is that Toula has tons of family which include her parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Toula and her husband, Ian have a huge Wedding celebration joined with her gregarious family. Toula and Ian will be forever on this earth surrounded with much love, support and warm wishes as they pursue life together.

This movie is really a prime example on how we the Body of Christ are there for each other as we live our life out for Jesus Christ. We know Jesus is always there for us, and at the same time our brothers and sisters in Christ are as well. We know we can depend on them praying for us and helping us in our times of need. The family of God surrounds us with their love, support and ongoing prayers. They will be there for us in the good times as well as the bad times.
This particular passage states it well.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love
and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another ,
and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25,

We, as the Body of Christ, choose to assemble ourselves together to strengthen one another.  We are aware of how important it is to strongly encourage each other as often as needed. We join our hearts together, looking to Jesus as we pursue life with one another. God's love, peace, hope, mercy, grace, and favor continuously flows through us to keep us strong in the Lord.

We want the very best for one another and we will reach out to build and edify others and pray on a daily basis. We look forward to
spending eternity together as one Mega Family of God!

Casting Crowns
Singing
"NOBODY"

God chooses people to represent Him
as members of the Body of Christ. This
song points out that the singer sees
himself as Nobody and that the only
one we should remember is Jesus.

  1. I especially love this line; "We join our hearts together, looking to Jesus as we pursue life with one another." I think that is why Jesus kept reminding us that The Father is in Him. If we invite Him into our hearts, then we should be prepared to show others that God is in us! Impossible in our own strength, but with Him.......
