Friday Writing...11/22/19..."My Hiding Place"

Good Morning,

Today we hear about a young girl who KNOWS that her hiding place is the Word of God. She possesses the innocence and goodness of a person who knows that belief in the goodness of God is her ticket to a life well lived. Karen wrote, "He never lets us down and is always doing what we is right for us, but more importantly, best for us. We know God doesn’t make mistakes. It’s so obvious we cannot ever be in better hands than God’s!"

"My Hiding Place"

Several years ago, my youngest granddaughter shared her favorite Bible passage with me.  I was so touched by the strength it gave her, not to mention the joy and comfort as well. She informed me of it with a face filled with love and faith.

She knew God was always with her, and she could run to Jesus any time she felt she truly needed Him...when she was at the end of her rope or truly afraid! The word and the presence of God gave her what she needed to get beyond whatever circumstances she was dealing with at the time.

Do you ever get so burdened, so weighed down, you just want to run? Run to Jesus! He will give you the relief you need. Go someplace private and talk to Him! Let His presence comfort you and His love wash over you!

“You are my hiding place; 

you will protect me from trouble 

and surround me with songs of deliverance.”  

Psalm 32:7.

He will deliver you from your troubles. He is always there for us, to guide us through our lives and bring us the peace that passes all understanding - the peace always found in Him.

When you talk to Him, you can feel your burdens being alleviated as He takes them from you on to His own shoulders. We, in turn, need to remember not to hold onto them, but to release them to Him and then follow His lead.

“And we know that in all things 

God works for the good of those who love Him, 

who have been called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28.

We know too that God works for good in our lives in all things. We learn valuable lessons through these times, and we must remember to thank Him as well as rejoice in His love and help for us. He never lets us down and is always doing what we is right for us, but more importantly, best for us. We know God doesn’t make mistakes. It’s so obvious we cannot ever be in better hands than God’s!

Father, we thank You for always being there for us to run to. You are our hiding place and our great teacher. We know we are in good hands even when things don’t happen the way we’d prefer. You do what You do, in Your infinite wisdom, what You know is best for us and we are grateful for Your love. Help us rejoice always! In the name of Jesus  we pray! Amen.
