Good morning
Today the theme is how some people get caught in the shallows of life and are depressed. For many it is hard to snap out of this and get on with life. There are many things that can be done in this situation. Here is a quote from this writing, "The world does not need people who have no idea how to snap out of it. In the end such a person is in danger of languishing and having a sad life with no joy. Before they know it, they are in their golden years that for them are tarnished."
It is a really sad situation which does not have to be hopeless.
Blessings

Some fell on rocky places,
where it did not have much soil.
It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched,
and they withered because they had no root.
Mark 4:5-6

There is a song currently being played called "Shallow." I am going to post a couple of stanzas of this song.
"Tell me somethin', girl
Are you happy in this modern world?
Or do you need more?
Is there somethin' else you're searchin' for?
"Tell me something, boyAren't you tired tryin' to fill that void?Or do you need more?Ain't it hard keeping it so hardcore?
I will admit that there are times when we are feeling dissatisfied and perhaps bored with the same old/same old. We all live lives where we find ourselves either in a valley or on a mountain top. These are the moments when God provided lessons are learned, and we grow in wisdom which we have realized during these times. God speaks to us and gives us inspiration about things we have not previously understood.
When we are in a shallow time there are many things we can do. We do not have to be trapped in it. According to our personalities and interests we can choose what we want to do. Some suggestions include volunteering, reading the Word, going for a walk (alone or with a friend) taking a drive in the country, cleaning something that needs attention, doing something you do not usually do, Creativity gives us many choices.
The world needs people who can feel lacking and then pull themselves up by their bootstraps. The world does not need people who have no idea how to snap out of it. In the end such a person is in danger of languishing and having a sad life with no joy. Before they know it, they are in their golden years that for them are tarnished.
Father,
I pray you will help those who battle with the shallowness of their lives to see what a beautiful life You have given to Your children. Help them to find joy and thankfulness for Your gifts and Your desire to spend eternity with them gained by the death of Your Son and His resurrection.
Amen

"What a Wonderful World"

May people in the Shallows see the wonderful world
that they live in and find joy in it.

Things happen in the shallows. Ancient fish lived in and thrived in the shallow areas. People can rise above the shallows and thrive/

The world can be your oyster. To make that possible it is important to snap out of it. You can do it!
