Thursday Writing...5/30/19..."From Death Into Life"

Good Morning,

Today's writing assures us that we will be brought from death into life when we have Him in our lives and hearts. Karen wrote, "We trust His promises and know our sins are forgiven before we even finish asking for it with a sincere heart. We take our refuge in Him, because we know He will shield us from the evil one and all his lies trying to bring us down."

This is totally good news.

Be blessed today.

Today's Devotional

"From Death Into Life"
Written by
Karen Bennett

In thinking about death yesterday, it struck me again, as always, how blessed we are to have God’s assurances of passing into eternal life with Him as soon as we pass from this world. Because of all God’s promises and teachings, we know when we leave this earthly realm behind, we will be with Him. God does not want us to ever lose hope.

We believe in God and know that all we’ve been taught is truth, because He said it! We know deep in our hearts that Jesus went to His death on the cross to save us from our sins. We also know that because He was resurrected from the dead, we will be also. And, on the last day, the bodies of all who died in Him will be raised and be glorified and joined with our souls.

But, did you know we have already passed from death into life?

“I tell you the truth,
those who listen to my message
and believe in God who sent me
have eternal life.
They will never be condemned
for their sins,
but they have already
 passed from death into life.”
John 5:24.

Because we believe, we have heaven promised to us and no one will ever be able to rob us of it. We live with this hope and joy, peace and strength in our hearts!
“Trust in me with all your heart.”
Proverbs 3:15.

We trust His promises and know our sins are forgiven before we even finish asking for it with a sincere heart. We take our refuge in Him, because we know He will shield us from the evil one and all his lies trying to bring us down.

We know we have no possibility of earning our way to heaven, but our love for God causes us to want to live as His children should, obeying His commandments and instruction. We will fail, of course, and fail because we are frail human beings. Obviously we needed Jesus to reconcile us to the Father by His death and resurrection and the faith we cherish that the Holy Spirit placed in our hearts and minds. A sorrowful soul receives God’s peace and strength to carry on. He will never let the righteous fall and we wear the righteousness of Jesus.

“Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.”
Proverbs 30:15

Father, Thank You for all the words written in Scripture to comfort us and keep us on Your path. We need never lose hope, because we know You are truth! This truth has been passed down through many generations. Forgiveness is ours through the atoning sacrifice of Your Beloved Son. He is most truly our Lord and Savior, and it is in His saving name we pray. Amen!
