Good Morning,
Friday's writing refers to the fact that God lives in us and our bodies are called a Temple of God. Then the writing goes on to provide an extensive coverage of the Holy Spirit and his Godly activities for humanity. Karen quoted Romans 8:26 when she included the following, "We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”
What a blessing we have in the presence of the Holy Spirit in our "temple."
Have a blessed weekend

"God’s Temple"

“Don’t you know that
you yourselves are God’s temple
and that God’s Spirit lives in You?”
and that God’s Spirit lives in You?”
1 Corinthians 3:16
It’s very interesting as well as thrilling, to see how the great God we love and believe in works in and for us. The Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three IN one. Each one has a distinct part in our lives. God the Father is, of course, our Creator, God the Son, our Redeemer, and God the Holy Spirit who Sanctifies.
It’s through the work of the Holy Spirit that we become the children of God, as He is the one who places the faith required of God’s children in our hearts and keeps us in the one true faith.
According to Luther’s explanation of the Third Article of The Apostle’s Creed, we are unable to believe by our own reason or strength. He has invited us by the Gospel and enlightened us with His gifts that we are able to accept the spiritual blessings Christ has for us.
Here are some supportive scriptures...
“You were dead
in your transgressions and sins.”
Ephesians 2:1
Ephesians 2:1
“No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord’,
except by the Holy Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:13
We need
Him!
Him!
There are passages all though the Bible about the Holy Spirit, of course, but the Book of Romans, particularly the 8th chapter, is a treasure trove of information about Him. It even tells us the Spirit prays with us. Who but our loving God would want to be certain we get our prayers correct?
We should pray everywhere. When we’re alone we have beautiful, private, and uninterrupted time with God. We read in Scripture that Jesus often went off by Himself to quiet places to pray. The Bible even tells us to go to our rooms and close the door.
We can pray together as families or with a prayer partner, for Jesus told us that
wherever two or more are gathered in His name, there He is in the midst of them. We’re also told to pray often and never give up, always giving thanks as well. Little “breath prayers” of just a few sentences can be said all throughout the day.

Waking and going to bed are times as well we are told.
“Good morning, Lord.
Thank You for another day.
Thank You for another day.
May I live it to please You
and walk in Your way.
and walk in Your way.
This in Your most precious name
I pray.
I pray.
Amen.”
Prayer never needs to be denied to us no matter what the circumstances. Even in a crowded, loud room we can say it to ourselves. After all, the evil one can’t read our minds, but our loving Lord can. Celebrate the wonders and blessings He puts in our lives and call on Him in trouble. He will be there for all of it. He promised.
Dear Lord,
Thank You so much for bringing us to faith through Your Holy Spirit and making us Your children and Your temple. Increase our faith daily and fill our hearts to overflowing with love for and trust in You. In Your holy name we pray.
Bear in mind that in the dark ages
Thank You so much for bringing us to faith through Your Holy Spirit and making us Your children and Your temple. Increase our faith daily and fill our hearts to overflowing with love for and trust in You. In Your holy name we pray.
Amen.
