Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Tuesday Writing,,,4/30/19...."He Heals The Brokenhearted"

Good Morning,

Today the theme of this writing is the mercy and compassion of God by which He heals the brokenhearted. What a blessing that is. Sandy wrote, "I exhort each of us, starting with me, to seek the Lord's face when I encounter a person that is struggling and broken. As we ask for His guidance, He shall give it to us, then watch God gloriously work in lives!" We need to remember to go to God when we meet someone who has issues. Find out what the Lord would advise for them.

In His Healing Power,

Today's Devotional

"He Heals The Brokenhearted"
Written by
Sandy Billingham

Sometimes when we see people walking through difficult times we are
quick to give our opinion and share what we think they need to be
doing. Of course it is always much easier when we are on the other side
watching the person struggle, to freely give out suggestions. Or maybe
we are not sharing it with them, but we SURE are thinking about it
seriously.

We in our human flesh seem to think we have the solution, when all the time we are quick to forget who REALLY has the solution. I thought to myself just recently, "Why is it I don't turn to the Lord the very first time when I know I need prayer or when someone else needs prayer." I guess that is our human nature and selfishness that lies within
each of us.

That person we encounter that is really having a tough time needs the
touch of Jesus. They surely do not need our fleshly opinion and suggestions.
In fact that is the last thing they need!

Scripture says...
 "He heals the brokenhearted and
bandages their wounds."
Psalm 147:3,

God is not out to bombard us and tell us to "ship up or ship out!" That is far from any action our loving Heavenly Father would take. We have a
God that is more than ready and willing to heal our broken hearts. He wants to apply His healing balm on our hearts and mend and comfort
us. Not only that, but only He can take away the pain we may be experiencing. He will soothe us and restore what has been damaged in our lives. He is the lover of our souls.

As we cry out to the Lord to give us His compassion and mercy, only
then can we minister to the hurting. His healing power shall flow through
us and lives shall be touched deeply.

I exhort each of us, starting with me, to seek the Lord's face when I encounter a person that is struggling and broken. As we ask for His guidance, He shall give it to us, then watch God gloriously work in lives!
