Good Morning,

The theme today is based on the amazing truth of God that the job was already done when Jesus died on the cross. We only need to accept Jesus and speak repentance when we fall short, and we are assured that we will be spending eternity in Heaven. That is beyond relief. Corinne wrote,"We ask Jesus to come to live in our hearts, and when we fall short we need to give Him our heart felt repentance for the sin we have committed. Then eternity is ours! End of story!!

Believe it and take that ton of rocks you carry around off your back.

"Great News You Can Believe"

We always ask ourselves if we are worthy to be blessed and to be an instrument of God on earth. Sadly, we often come up with a negative based on our tarnished opinion about who and what we are. This is because we see (as I call it) our own underbelly. This concept is built on the terrible guilt feelings we have been given by others. Often the discipline we have received is built by an innocent belief passed down from generation that shame has to be instilled in an attempt to get children to turn from their evil ways. It leaves an adult judging themselves as powerless and undeserving. This is a faulty legacy.

On the other hand, we have Jesus as an impeccable model of goodness, truth and love. If we do not take this in the direction that it should be taken, we just start to suppose that our attempts to be like Jesus are hopeless or impossible. With this way of thinking we can end up in mediocre life where there is only intermediate times when righteousness can reign in us.

We believe that the Bible is the breathed word of God. We also believe that God cannot lie. Here are some scriptures to ponder on the topic of sin.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed

our transgressions from us.

Psalms 103:11-12

Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious ideal;

yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending Him
if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in His kindness

freely takes away our sins.

Romans 3:23-24
