Good Morning,
The theme of this writing is that God's people should adapt stillness to be able to know God is God. This is good advice. Karen wrote, "It’s imperative for us to remember that God is only a whisper away. God has a purpose for everything, and He says to trust Him and give it all to Him. He says, “Be still and know that I am God.” He is God! His resurrection proved it beyond all doubt!"
Enjoy Resurrection Sunday and have a Happy Easter.

Psalms are some of my favorite scriptures and Psalm 46 is right at the top with
several others. The Psalm is most encouraging and of particular inspiration to
me is this verse...
“Be still and know that I am God”
Psalm 46:10a
Psalm 46:10a
What a comforting passage. In essence God is saying, “Chill out,
I’m here. I’ve got this covered and you needn’t worry.” God is always handling
our battles. He is steadfast and true, and never changes.
This past Sunday in church, the center aisle was lined on both sides with
people bearing palm branches. The Sunday School children walked under the
beautiful arch of palms to the front of the church, and there sang their songs
for the Lord! It was so touching to see and hear them praising our God! A
beautiful Palm Sunday celebration!
All this Holy Week, “Be still - - - “ rings so true. I think of the poor disciples of Jesus and all the other followers who couldn’t understand the turn of events and were totally bewildered and horribly saddened by the agony suffered by their dear friend and Master. Even after all the time they spent with Christ, hearing all the things He had to tell them, they didn’t understand and just believed He was gone.

I am grateful, so grateful, we know. How lost His disciples must have felt! We don’t have to worry. We can “Be still”, without any problem. It saddens us to know of His terrible sufferings. After all, He had to endure them because of us! But He lifted that terrible burden of guilt from us too.
There are times in our lives however, of great emotional stress and worry when
we allow our situations to unnerve us and it becomes difficult for us to remind
ourselves of who is in charge. Of course, the stress isn’t like the horror the
disciples suffered, but if we allow it, it can become all-consuming. It’s
imperative for us to remember that God is only a whisper away. God has a
purpose for everything, and He says to trust Him and give it all to Him. He

Father, Thank You for Your wonderful
promise laden word, filled with assurances of Your love, presence, comfort, and
certainly Your power, among many other things. Help us to remember always that
our worries belong at Your feet and not on our hearts. Instead, our hearts
should be full of love and trust in You. Then all fear and anxiety will be
eliminated. We know this Good Friday and always, what You did for us and that
You continue to do all that is right and good for us. Help always to just be
still and know that You are God, and
as the verse goes on to finish, “I will be exalted among nations, I will be
exalted in the earth.” We know we are called the children of the Almighty God
and we are loved by You. As we sing sad songs today, it is only two days from
singing of the wonderful miracle of Your resurrection and what it means for us.
We will have eternal life with You. We love You, Lord! In the name of Jesus.
Amen!

Chill out and love one another,
and you will live a life of worth
with times of stillness knowing God
and being led by the Him..
