Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Wednesday Writing...3/20/19..."Fear is a Liar"

Good Morning,

We all face fear at one time or other and we loose track of the promise of Jesus in John 15:27. There is a song with the same title as the title of this writing. Another promise of God is that He will never leave us or forsake us. We need to hang onto that promise. Breanna wrote, "Why don’t we realize that God can do anything and that He loves us more than we can imagine? He’s got this. We need to be still and trust that He is in control, that He knows what to do. All we have to do is obey."

How about setting a seven day goal for the coming week to built trust and belief.

"Fear is a Liar"
Written by
Breanna Williamson

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27

Recently, I’ve been amazed at the amount of changes that have come my way. I’m not a big fan of change, and I think the main reason for that is fear.

What’s going to happen now?
Where are we going to live? Where are we going to work?
What kind of people are going to be there?
Will they like me? Will I like them?

Those are legitimate concerns, but that’s life. We don’t have any guarantees. The only guarantee we have is that God will walk us through it and that we will always have Him by our side.

We all know that we are not suppose to fear, but something that isn’t taught very often is how do we stop being afraid? How do we work through that? Something I have recently started doing is praying as soon as I feel afraid and telling fear to go away, In Jesus’s name.

Something else that can keep fear in our hearts is a lack of trust. A great friend of mine was reading a passage from 1 Corinthians 13 the other day and she brought up how we skip over some of what that passage is telling us about what love does. How often do we think about how “love always trusts”

Wow...What conviction! Why don’t we trust God more? Why don’t we realize that God can do anything and that He loves us more than we can imagine? He’s got this. We need to be still and trust that He is in control, that He knows what to do. All we have to do is obey.

"TRUST IN YOU"

TRUST GOD
God  always gives us these things and
we can trust Him and believe in Him
without any doubt or fear.

Trusting someone means that you think they are reliable, you have confidence in them and you feel safe with them physically and emotionally. Trust is something that two people in a relationship can build together when they decide to trust each other.

To believe that someone is good and honest and will not harm you,
or they are safe and reliable.

God fulfills these definitions!
