Monday Writing...3/25/19..."All about Jesus"

Good morning,

The theme of today's devotional is that in every part of Creation and Salvation, Jesus is involved as the Word of God...God incarnate. It is difficult for humans to wrap their minds around this concept, and we often separate the God the Word, the Son incarnate from God as we think of Him as Creator. They are ONE, and that includes the Holy Spirit who was there at the beginning of Creation as He hovered over the waters. Bre Miller is reminding us that it is All About Jesus and that we need to find what we should do to make Him utmost in our lives as we serve Him. Bre wrote, "Our first thought when we wake up in the morning shouldn’t be 'Instagram'; it should be framing out “How can I live for Jesus today? How can I work for His cause? How can I fulfill The Great Commission? How can I serve The Church?”

Develop an I can mentality and serve the Lord.
Blessings

Today's Devotional

"All About Jesus"

Written by
Bre Miller

The word was spoken at creation,
and Jesus (the Word) spoke this.
~~~~~
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things were made;without Him nothing was made that has been made.In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.”
John 1:1 NIV
There are a lot of beautiful things that you can take from this passage, but to me, the most important thing, especially today, is that Jesus is everything. Without Him, nothing would exist. The Word was Jesus. Our whole purpose on this earth is to live for Him.
He was God incarnate, came down to earth in a body like ours. He had to sleep, eat, deal with human bodily functions and even temptation. This is God we’re talking about. He did all of that for us, when He didn’t have to. When He didn’t deserve it. When we didn’t deserve it.
Why on earth wouldn’t we want to live for Him? Something I realized the other day is that in this day and age, a lot of Christians want to accept the free gift of salvation, but they aren’t willing to actively live their life for the perfect One who gave His life, so that they could have that salvation.
It's all about Jesus.
Our first thought when we wake up in the morning shouldn’t be Instagram; it should be framing out “How can I live for Jesus today? How can I work for His cause? How can I fulfill The Great Commission? How can I serve The Church?”
It's all about Jesus.
It is how we talk to other people, how we present ourselves? What He would do.? What He would want? We need to figure that out and then act accordingly.
It's ALL About Jesus!
