Good Morning,
Today's writing talks about the seasonal cause we have to REJOICE! After more than a thousand years of waiting the Messiah has arrived to be the salvation for mankind. Most certainly a cause for rejoicing, and two thousand years later the people of today continue to rejoice His coming with amazing gratitude. Karen wrote, "He brings us happiness, but then the ultimate joy will be ours as we see Him in all His glory, never to be out of our sight again. Everything we’ve lived for will be ours as we praise and worship our King of kings and Lord of lords."
Let us all rejoice as we celebrated the memory of what happened when the Messiah arrived on earth.

"Rejoice!"

We are not lost forever in our sin!
Rejoice!
A great
celebration is only days away - to remember the birth of Christ the King!
This Sunday we will light the third candle on our Advent wreathes - the pink
candle - joy! It’s customarily called the Shepherd’s Candle!
“And
there were shepherds living out in the field nearby keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the Angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
He is the Messiah, the Lord.”
Luke 2:8-11.
But the Angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
He is the Messiah, the Lord.”
Luke 2:8-11.
The Savior that had been waited for since the fall of Adam was
finally born. The joy that filled the shepherds had to be incomparable! God’s
promise was kept and salvation would come. Waiting for Jesus was probably a
long ordeal, but those waiting were saved for eternity because they believed in
the promise. They trusted God to keep His word and that gave them eternal life.
Believing the promise, they believed in Christ.
We are believers who know
about the life of Christ and all He did for us. And we, like the ancient
Hebrews, are waiting for Jesus too. We, however, are waiting for the second
coming. He will return to take us back to heaven with Him.
As the sky was filled with angels that night to herald the
coming of the Lord back then, so will the sky be filled with angels once again
for us. The difference will be that our Lord and Savior himself will be leading
them the second time. He will gather us up and take us home. The wait will
finally be over.
We are so grateful for His presence with us now and for His help
through this problem ridden life. He brings us happiness, but then the ultimate
joy will be ours as we see Him in all His glory, never to be out of our sight
again. Everything we’ve lived for will be ours as we praise and worship our
King of kings and Lord of lords.
Dearest
Jesus,
It is
such an honor to celebrate Your birth and now to wait for You to come again. We
know You are always with us, making our path straight through this lifetime, but
we eagerly await Your return. Thank You for never leaving us, and thank your
Holy Spirit for instilling faith in us as we wait for that glorious day. Come,
Lord Jesus, come! In Your name. Amen.
