Good morning,
The theme of this writing today is the importance of giving others mercy when we see them having a hard time to make the right choices. Often we act in judgemental ways when we should share the kind of mercy that is given to us by God. Bre wrote, "We have to remember that we are all human; we all make mistakes, and we are all in need of grace and mercy, If we do not show those things to others, it will not be shown to us."
Let's be mindful of mercy as we deal with each other this week and in the future..

"Mercy
for Others"

“Because
judgment without mercy
will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful.
Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
James 2:13
(NIV)
will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful.
Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
James 2:13
(NIV)
It is very important that have uphold the truth, but it is also very important that we have grace and mercy for others.
One example I can use is when someone in my life messed up in a
moment of weakness and became pregnant outside of marriage.
Many people around us were saying things like “She thinks she is so responsible. I bet she ends up on welfare.” Or “How can anyone congratulate her on having a baby?” Which bothers me, because a baby is still just as worthy
of love and life no matter what.
When this young girl was shown grace, compassion and mercy by me and others in her life, that’s when she decided to come to church, hold her head up and obey Jesus. She said she knew it was wrong to have sex and she knew she made a mistake. She knew it was going to be hard to have a baby so young, but the fact was, it was happening. She could have quietly went and had an abortion, but instead, she had her baby, loved her baby and served God with the rest of her life.
We have to remember that we are all human; we all make mistakes, and we are all in need of
grace and mercy, If we do not show those things to others, they will not be shown to us.

Righteousness is the attribute that takes us toward the sun of the Son. To build up righteousness is something that sets us up to become the kind of person that God created us to be. Throughout life righteousness is the thing we can rely on to build a better life in maturity.
Always hang on to your righteousness!

I love your first line, "It is very important that have uphold the truth, but it is also very important that we have grace and mercy for others.". And the fact that you used one of my favorite verses from James!
