We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Monday Writing...10/29/18..."What and Who Are You?"

Good Morning,

In recent times there have been a hurricane of massacres that are a blight that is daily reported in the news. The stakes go to a new level when captives have to answer about their religious affiliation and beliefs. Here is a quote from this writing, "Most of us will never have to deal with having to choose to declare or deny our beliefs. My hope is for honesty on my part. The opposite will mean spending eternity separated from God."

Honesty may bring temporal death, but eternal life will be the reward. Which alternative results in the most horrifying "reward? Choose carefully!

"What and Who Are You?"

When we look at the world we see an old enemy putting on a new face. There has been bigotry and abuse from the beginning of time. Here are a few examples of people who faced intolerance.

For some the injustices still are carried on against them.

The most rampant areas of bias that leads to cruel behavior is religion against religion. We see it in the Middle East where Muslim sects are against each other. Muslims hate the Jews and Christians. In this country it was not acceptable to many to be Catholic. My father's family did not like us because we were Catholic, and made life miserable for my parents

Several years ago we heard about horror of the massacre in an Oregon college. Nine people were killed by someone who was mentally unwell. The real horror of that story was what he said to his victims before he shot them. He would ask them if they were Christian, and then he shot them. They did not try to hide the fact that they were Christian. They died for their beliefs...for Jesus, and that makes them martyrs who are now with Him.

What would you do if you were faced with making a decision to hide your Christianity or to profess it? Would you deny your beliefs in fear. Or would you profess who and what you are with joy...regardless of the outcome.

When I think of being faced with this situation, I find it pretty scary. Most of us will never have to deal with having to choose to declare or deny our beliefs. My hope is for honesty on my part. The opposite will mean spending eternity separated from God.

Lord,
Please give courage to anyone who finds himself/herself in a situation where a choice must be made about who and what they are. Give them the wisdom and courage to tell the truth about who You are in their life.
Amen

29:7  The good man knows the poor man’s rights;
the godless don’t care.

29:13  Rich and poor are alike in this:
each depends on God for light.

29:18  Where there is ignorance of God,
crime runs wild; but what a wonderful thing
it is for a nation to know and keep his laws.
