Good Morning,
The topic of this writing is the need to wait and wait patiently. Being patient is a difficult thing to do as you can see by the first illustration. When we have to wait for something we need we become impatient and often grumpy. Lynnie covered all the times Jesus was left to wait even though He was the Son of God. He had to live in His human side, and we could take a lesson from Him. Lynnie wrote, "He focused on missionary work for the world; knowing that His time as a man among men was limited and the message He had was vital for those who needed Good News."
Let 's try to be more patient when forced to wait. If we seem to be waiting endlessly, maybe we could substitute another activity to do as we wait.

"How Long Do I
Have To Wait?"
Written by
Lynda Kinnard
I say to myself, “The LORD
is my portion;
therefore I will wait for
him.”
Lamentations 3:24
NIV
Waiting is seldom my first, second, or third choice of things to do. We do it because we seldom have a choice. There is something that we need (or want) and we cannot get it exactly when we want it. So we wait. Wait to grow up. Wait to meet, "the one". Wait to be acknowledged by our manager, leader or peers. Wait for our babies to be born, get potty-trained, start school.... And those are just a few milestones that many of us face.
It got me thinking about all of the waiting that Jesus did. He was the Son of God and the Son of Man, but He spent most of His life as one of us. Knowing who His Father was, but living a human life. I'm not aware of any record of Him performing miracles at birth, except the circumstances of His birth; so He would have had to take the same long way through life as any other "son-of-a-carpenter".
He is part of the Triune God, Creator of Heaven and Earth,
but was also the eldest son with chores and pesky younger brothers and sisters. He had to wait for chances to speak to the
rabbis at the temple. He had to wait and
care for his mother and family when His earthly father, Joseph was taken (in
death). He waited thirty years to begin
His focused missionary work for the world; knowing that His time as a man among
men was limited and the message He had was vital for those who needed Good News.
And from the moment He knew that Judas Iscariot, one of the few who had an intimate relationship with Him, would betray Him; He waited for His unlawful arrest, illegal mock trial, humiliation, beatings, agonizing crucifixion and unimaginable death on the cross.
He knew all of this before He was placed in his mother's virgin womb. He accepted it all, waiting so very patiently, for each one of us to invite Him into our hearts. Jesus waits for those who still have not heard His Good News, His God News. He loves us in spite of our stubbornness, and son nature. He loves us because of those things. And He waits...
How can I complain about waiting.,.for anything?
"Be
patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming.
See how the
farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop,
patiently waiting for the
autumn and spring rains.
You too, be
patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s
coming is near." James 5:7-8

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
