Good Morning
The theme of today's writing is about the great need to stand firm in a challenged world and to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord. Bre wrote, "How should we react then? By standing firm. By not giving in to the way the world is. By not letting anything move us! We say “no!” to the lies of the world and the enemy."

“Stand Firm”

Do you ever feel like that the world is too far gone? Do you ever feel like giving up in this time of such sin, backwards thinking and persecution for Christians?
“Therefore, my dear brothers
and sisters, stand firm.
and sisters, stand firm.
Let nothing move you.
Always give yourselves
fully to the work of the Lord,
Always give yourselves
fully to the work of the Lord,
because you know that your labor
in the Lord is not in vain.”
in the Lord is not in vain.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
We live in a world that is only worried about offending people who are not Christians. We see it every day. Many people get angry and defensive. Me? I see this played out in The Bible. It just makes me believe in it even more.
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come
times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self,
lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive,
disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control,
brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless,
swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.
Avoid such people. ”
We see this played out right in front of us. How should we react then? By standing firm. By not giving in to the way the world is. By not letting anything move us! We say “no!” to the lies of the world and the enemy.
Always give ourselves fully to the work of The Lord. That means telling others about Him and building disciples. Why? Because we know He has a plan, and it will all be worth it in the end. In the end, I know who’s side I want to be on, and it isn’t the world’s.
I want to end with a song I’m sure we all know, but its such an encouragement to think about how Jesus wins and how every knee will bow and every tongue confess that he is Lord.
