Good Morning,
God expects us to
throw off unrighteous behaviors. We are not to live as the rest of the world
does. we are to be examples of how followers of Jesus Christ live.
Since we will always be simultaneously sinners as well as saints, how do we do
this?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This theme is written about putting on a new living plan...a new self. This self is created by God in order that we may be a righteous person. Carol wrote, "Growing to be like God is a process the Holy Spirit works on throughout our entire lives. We have at our disposal everything we need to change our minds and put on the new self in Jesus Christ."
This weekend let's work on finding the new self that Jesus has for us.
"New Self"
"You were taught,
with regard to your former way of life,
with regard to your former way of life,
to put off your old self, which is
being corrupted
by its deceitful desires, to be made new in the
attitude of
your minds; and to put on the new self,
created to be like God in true righteousness
and holiness."
Ephesians 4:22-24
Be in the Word of
God. Whenever satan confronts you, you must be able to say to Him
"It is written" and then let the Holy Spirit bring a Bible passage to
mind to defeat his temptations. Are you being constantly attacked and
find some addiction difficult to throw off? Get down on your knees and let the
power of the Holy Spirit fill you.
This life is the
preparation for the next. Growing to be like God is a process the Holy
Spirit works on throughout our entire lives. We have at our disposal
everything we need to change our minds and put on the new self in Jesus Christ.
We are created in the image of the living God and by His power have the ability
to live in that image, tarnished as it may be on earth. Live like the person
you are meant to be. We are children of the King of the Universe.
