Friday Writing...9/14/18..."Let Go"

Good Morning,

Today we are considering the effects of hanging on to things that anger us and make us vindictive vs. letting go of hatred and annoyances from people. Karen wrote, "Let go! Give it to God and receive the peace that passes all understanding, the comfort that He gives. You will be relieved beyond measure and your repentance will cause the angels to rejoice."

This is good advice for our choices if only if only we follow it.

"Let Go"

We have been told of the joy that erupts in heaven when one sinner repents. The angels rejoice! What an awesome revelation! Your God’s angels rejoice over every sinner that repents. It tells us just how important and wonderful repentance is. It also tells us just how important the repentance of only one sinner is. God loves and cares about every single soul. When we ask God for His forgiveness of all our sins we know a celebration breaks out in heaven!

There are occasions when we have difficulty with sin, such as forgiving someone a wrong act they have done to us. Maybe it hurt us physically or emotionally or financially - whatever the case might be. Most often we begin pondering all the ways we can get even with them. Before too long we are consumed by hatred and the need for vengeance. I’m afraid the celebration is then in a much different place. 

Hatred is satan’s realm. God IS love, but satan is hate! He hates God, he hates us, he hates everything, therefore his path to our destruction is quite clear. He and his demons will do anything and everything in their power to keep the vengeance, fueled by hatred, in our hearts.

Satan doesn’t want us for himself. He is hell-bent on keeping God from having us.

We are not immune to satan on our own. We need only remember we have an all powerful God who can and will help us!

Let go! Give it to God and receive the peace that passes all understanding, the comfort that He gives. You will be relieved beyond measure and your repentance will cause the angels to rejoice.

Let go and let God! 

Father, Please help us to let go of all our feelings of hatred and vengeance with all their destruction. May we always forgive others that we ourselves may also be forgiven. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
