Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing...9/31/18..."Do It For Jesus"

Good Morning,

The writing for today speaks of the Golden Rule that was said by Jesus, Himself. He also said that what we do for the needy is as if it were done unto Him. There is so much suffering and need in this world that we have our job all set out for us during our time on Earth. Karen wrote,  "May the smiles we see on earthly faces become the smile we will see on Your face in heaven for doing Your will. In Your name we pray. Amen."

Love your neighbor!

"Do It For Jesus"

We’re always told to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Doing God’s will is a great way to live! Treating people well and helping those in need is extremely fulfilling.

We can’t help but feel gratified when we donate to the poor, especially with food and water to sustain their bodies, even though the great majority of these people are strangers to us. We also help many with shelter and clothing. Prison ministries are carried on which bring healing and hope to the inmates, a wonderful reward.

There are those who visit people in healthcare facilities, those in hospice, memory care, and long term care, just to hold a hand, play a game, sing a song, or talk.

All these things mean the world to those on the receiving side. Single parents unable to totally support their families are so grateful to food banks and soup kitchens. Also, for clothing donations that allow them to fill in gaps in their children’s wardrobes, or even their own.

The elderly in long term care facilities don’t usually have many visitors, making them sad and lonely individuals in dire need of human compassion. While some activities are in progress, many don’t participate as it’s wished for them to. It’s difficult for them to care about most things even when those things are what they truly need.

Think of ways you can help people out of their depression by showing them care and concern. Perhaps you could organize a small group to collect donations or one to visit with residents in the facilities mentioned. It is so heartwarming to put a smile on someone’s face and shake the hands of those who feel forgotten by the world, which to them is usually their families.

Human touch is a necessity in life. Tests run on human babies proved that those without loving touches did not thrive. This is not a need we lose as we grow old. We need it as much then as a baby does to thrive.

Put your heart in matters such as these, or even something as simple as a friend in dire need of a caring, listening ear for a bit of time. You will be rewarded. Not only are we following God’s will, but remember something else that’s extremely important to the Lord.

“I tell you the truth,
whatever you did for one
of the least of these brothers of mine,
you did for me.”
Matthew 25:40.

Jesus counts our kindnesses to others as kindness to Him. Let’s do it all for Jesus and for our brothers.

Lord, may we share Your love by helping others with things they need. Let us do so with happy, generous hearts.  May the smiles we see on earthly faces become the smile we will see on Your face in heaven for doing Your will. In Your name we pray. Amen.
